The lightgun is a prime example of how the NES and Famicom differed. In the early days of the NES the Zapper was synonymous with the NES, and everyone had Duck Hunt. On Famicom nobody cared about the lightgun or Duck Hunt.The Famicom did get a game using a machine lightgun, which is terrible because just imagine the flashing at the rate of a machine gun. Even Porygon can't compete.

Light gun games are always 100x better in the arcade instead of at home.House of the Dead 2 is fun if you have a friend. Crisis zome has the best gun/feedback.Terminator 2: Judgement Day just because I love that movie.Big Buck hunter is probably the one I've spent the most money on over the years and is always worth a laugh with buddies.

>>12556150I have an original Wii set up with all of the lightgun games for 8 and 16-bit era games and it works pretty well. Playing with a mouse would probably be annoying since I play vidya on my bed and sometimes the sheets and blankets don't work too well as a mousepad, so for me the Wii is my lightgun system and it works pretty well desu. Even playing Duck Hunt it feels more accurate on the Wii than on a real NES and CRT.
