They could have based it off ck2, made more new and innovative dlcs, there'd be a larger game and they'd make even more profit pleasing the veterans and the casuals
They wanted to fully capture the reddit meme crowd as much as possible. Veterans are not included at all because it doesn't bring in the meme dollars. Everything mechanic has allow power fantasies and not be balanced like a normal game. And in way it did not go wrong. The "game" only exists for doll enthusiasts and has good reviews. Except the dolls don't move and interact like The Sims nor is there any social simulation.

Shameless self bump
>>1875306It's a successful game with a DLC plan that will make then cash for the next twenty years with no effort, what so you mean, wrong?
>>1875561i meant in terms of play value, if you see games as successful through profit alone you must be pretty gay
>>1875564That's literally what the word means
>>1875306They wanted the sims audience
>>1875306>no investitures to depict investiture controversy>no expelling the jews>no naval combat>raiding is still limited tribals>for some reason Tibet is part of the game and has 10000 provinces, meanwhile provinces in Germany are large
>See that province? You can subdue it .
>>1878016>>no expelling the jewsThe only event I get to do with Jews has the options>Expel them (objectively negative debuff)>Let them stay (objectively positive buff)Wtf
>>1875319Beyond the shitty 3D characters the biggest selling points are just more meme generators. Dynasty legacies and hyper customizable religions/cultures are so shallow but retards gobble it up because an odin worshipping matriarchy of genius pajeetas ruling the british isles is so darn funny.Meanwhile still no college of cardinals or merchant republics. If I had played CK3 recently I might have more missing or inferior mechanics to complain about but I uninstalled a while ago and went back to CK2.
>>1878353>Dynasty legaciesI genuinely don't understand their point.Late game was going to be easier even without them but, here they are adding another unlockable bonus to make it easier.
>>1875306I feel that the main problem holding back Crusader Kings and all Paradox games to some degree is the Eurocentrism which they still cannot shake off.Crusader Kings is still so fixated on Europe and obsessed with particular kingdoms for no justifiable reason. So much attention is given to certain crowns and it is only for historical Eurocentric reasons. What we need is a larger map with more dynamic gameplay. CK 3 is better than CK 2 but it is still far too stuck on history. We need to break free and truly open up for emergent dynamic gameplay. Customizing religions is one thing but we need to have entirely new religions emerging during the game. What if there was Mohammed pbuh 2.0 but this time in Russia or Africa?
