I've occasionally checked, and bait threads usually make only 10-15% of the board, the rest are generals. It's also really common for a thread to plummet to page 9 or 10 in 20 minutes, but then hang for next 40-50 before reaching page 11. So the issue is that with the number of generals and every timezone having their own chuubas streaming, generals get bumped off within an hour at most, sometimes in as little as 20 minutes which is quick enough that with a chill enough stream it can get bumped off in the middle of liveposting. And those page 11 bumps merely serve to speed up the board further when everyone needs to be constantly bumping their own general. Increasing the number of threads so we have 15 pages could possibly be a solution. Of course the side effect is that all those bait threads could survive for days by getting bumped from page 16. It can also be questioned whether we need a thread for every individual chuuba, but I don't see anons giving up their pet generals ever.
