How're you holding up Teamates?It really doesn't seem a long time ago, after the debut of gonkisei and its own graduation drama, that HoloEN Myth was sprung on us. I couldn't have believed back then on /jp/ the impact these girls would have. Here we are now on a dedicated vtuber board, and it's Ame and the rest of the Myth girls we have to thank for it.Ame's own debut was gloriously scuffed, and I'm sure most of you have seen the collage of reactposts to it. I wasn't capped myself, but let's just say I was among them. She certainly improved in her next few streams (in retrospect I recall thinking I was being a bit harsh) and soon developed the streaming style we loved her for.It can't be overstated the impact the pandemic had on those early days, the girls even made a song about being kept apart. We can only speculate what might have been. Also, despite it being four years since debut, another reason it felt so short for me was it felt like the pandemic stole those years from all us. Her leaving touches a certain point in our lives, and it's still a little raw. Myth got little support back then and had to innovate, and they couldn't have done it without Ame.I'll always fondly remember how she could change from a total gremlin to a sweet cutie and back again, and how she'd get genuinely frustrated at some of the games she'd play. Her game choices were interesting, and there's so many I would have hoped to see her play. I'm glad there's so many VoDs to catch up on, she tended to stream late at night for me, and it was lovely those few times I had to wake up early and she was doing one of her karaokes.She read and reacted to a couple of my comments over the years, and I'll never forget that. I know we'll be seeing her again, but sure, it's not the same as her being on the telly and getting to interact with her and see and listen. Grief is the price we pay for love... it'll get better.
