Then you have to pay staff, if you don't have sufficient staff your talents are going to be looking for the door pretty quick. After that you have to pay for promotion, no promotion = no growth. Keep in mind some of the companies that close might not have technically gone bankrupt but merely been reading water and the investors/owner deciding it wasn't gonna go anywhere and they had better things to do with their money than have it locked up in an unprofitable enterprise. So in that case you could be revenue neutral or even slightly profitable and still have to close down. I suspect that's what probably happened with Idol. Others like Tsunderia and Cyberlive very clearly wet outright bankrupt, laying off staff completely right before the end.
