It’s always been a thing for people playing competitive games to have a “main.” It’s just easier to invest your resources into learning how to play one character/loadout/style at a top level rathe than dividing your attention between multiple. Bans are implemented primarily because certain playstyles are either too good or too annoying to play against for others. In other words, in order to keep competition fair and interesting, competitors are allowed to say “I don’t want to play against this thing,” and force the other person to pick a secondary. This has the added bonus of diversifying the competitive experience. That’s why people will usually have a secondary as well as a “one trick” main.

In most games, team bans are decided by majority vote. So she teased the guy by putting his character in, thinking it was literally impossible for it to be chosen.
Little did she know, Marvel works unlike every other game and simply randomizes whose ban gets chosen and it landed on hers.
Was it her fault? Yeah, technically. But she wasn't actively antagonizing the guy and it was clearly an accident.

Doki is fine as a streamer but nobody can deny she has a touch of mental illness which can become scary during some situations. Those times she played competitive apex and then went dead-silent and started fuming was actually scary to watch.

There is precedent for this, I used to watch a guy called GaLm who was the same way. Super competitive gamer, whenever he'd lose he would start fuming and saying that luck was against him, it wasn't his fault, if only things were different.....etc. There's no denying he was skilled, but his crazy fixation on winning and his constant rage blowups were super unhealthy. He ended up going totally insane and blowing up the Derp Crew he had with Chilled. In that instance Chilled was like Mint, trying to calm him down and give him assurance, but it didn't matter in the end and his psychosis consumed him.

I think it's healthier to be like Asmongold. He used to be extremely sweaty about his WOW prowess and had some rage moments, but after getting called out by the commnts, admitted that he wasn't that good anymore and focused more on being a streamer instead. You don't have to always be the best, having fun is more important, that's what gaming is all about.
