It's sadly the gist of the majority of seasonal anime these days.
>>5692494Yeah, like the only example of that kinda thing I've seen that's even close to acceptable is "red ranger becomes a hero in another world" and that's because he doesn't get any abilities that he didn't already have, and he (presumably) earned whatever he's got via getting through however many seasons of a super sentai show. He's also not the PoV character for the most part which is good because his character is nothing you haven't seen before. He isn't even showing signs of getting a harem, so far. It's to the point that I kinda wish there was one of these shows where the whole fantasy world started to take notice of the overpowered isekai'd dude, put their differences aside, and combine all their forces into trying to get rid of that one guy, only they're NOT the bad guys for doing it, nor are they morons. He can be a bit of a dick so he's not too sympathetic, but his biggest mistake should be refusing to live quietly, and he definitely shouldn't be the point of view character for the vast majority of the show.

The Yellow Line portion of Red Line hits me the same way too. This show really did deserve a better reception with the level of detail it had, especially in the sound design. I know the 3d characters, that were sometimes 2d, held it back, but I think it was passable. It's my personal headcannon that this show is a prequel to Ace Combat's strangereal.
