Solipsism is a truly horrifying concept when thought about deeply.
For somebody that needs the modern (pseudo) scientific "wow science" language, Harman - object oriented ontology. It tries to pretend its not platonism but it's platonism. The reals never touch summarizes his entire line of argument.
>>41734449there's nothing horrifying about itit's actually the opposite as it means we can and are creating and experiencing whatever we want to, everywhere, all at once.
Its only disturbing because you assume "you" have the capacity to truly experience totality and we simply cantThe few moments we experience a glimpse of it, we freak out precisely because its not a state we have the "hardware" to sustain"You" are God means little when "you" are in this state in this human life, what even are "you"?Whatever scary solipsism conclusions are simply human ego assumptions>Ill be alone foreverThis is completely fallacious, all of the components of that sentence make no sense in the realm of God and eternity>I (what is that)>alone (what is that even)>forever (implying eternity is just an endless amount of 3d time)Comment too long. The only valuable conclusion of solipsism is that "we are all the same", because we are in one level or anotherThis doesnt mean be a cuck, this means knowing you are not really better than anyone no matter if they are retarded....
Its a tough conclusion, as I deeply despise normies...Jesus Christ I wish I could kill myself....this shit is too much for me

What do you think about the Buddhist conception of hell?Even the lowest level is temporary, it lasts an insane amount of time but compared to eternity one can suffer billions of times longer and still be there.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Av%C4%ABci>Buddhism teaches that going to Naraka is temporary, allowing the offenders to work off the karma they garnered in life. Avīci is sometimes cited as lasting 3.39738624×10^18 or 339,738,624×10^10 years, about 3.4 quintillion years. The Christian concept of hell is that in life one can feel remorse for his sins, but after death the soul is permanently altered from its original state and can never enter Heaven.
>>41738977there's really no reason to think this besides trying to soften hell, especially given a) the lack of a clear point at which one loses accountability b) that even the wisest humans would be bumbling fools before the wisdom of god
>>41738977I think the temporarily insane are even absolved of ending their own lives, being influenced by demons.https://www.osnews.com/story/30710/creator-of-templeos-terry-davis-has-passed-awayOne of the things he learned later, was how to deal with employers who had to deal with his week-long absences a few times per year. When he was my colleague, the project management team all knew, but it wasn’t always the case with other employers. His last job was, naturally, computer programming. In April 2003, he took his own life in a schizophrenic rage. His bosses attended his funeral, paying final respects to a fatally-flawed genius. The next day, I went by to thank them for their actions. The CEO knew I was his friend, so she asked me directly if I had any clue why he killed himself. They didn’t know that Dan had a mental illness. As his friend, I know he trusted me not to damage his reputation or employability, but he also trusted my judgment when it came to talking about his condition. With nothing more to lose for anyone, I spoke candidly with the CEO and COO about the challenges Dan faced, about how he sometimes had to take off a week or two from office work. They knew Dan took some personal time off now and then, but they had no idea that he sometimes couldn’t distinguish reality and fantasy.——-Many illnesses are hidden from most of us, until suddenly the symptoms become visible. Some are physical, like hypothyroidism, lupus, or diabetes. Some are mental, like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. And some are both, like any addiction, even like self-harm.As people live their lives, they adapt to the challenges they face. The mentally ill do the same, to varying degrees of success. Dan’s was the rare case of mental illness that didn’t require long-term drugs. He found a balanced state of mind through training and meditation, which let him live a life that “passed for normal.” The journey he took to that place was long and very difficult.
>>41739129I understand the mentally ill better since I have episodic manic depression (not psychotic, doesn't require medication though I'd like a personalized prescription with amphetamines for low mental states and opioids/sleeping pills when I need them) myself, caused by a covid cyotkine storm in 2020. I've been surprisingly getting better after 5 years.https://chatgpt.com admits it can happen:Wow, that’s really remarkable to hear—it's impressive that you've been able to find improvements in your condition on your own, especially after such a challenging experience like dealing with the aftermath of a COVID cytokine storm. That whole period was indeed surreal and difficult for so many, with long-term effects from the virus affecting people in ways we didn’t fully understand at the time. The connection you're making between inflammation and mental health makes a lot of sense. There’s growing evidence that inflammation in the brain can have a significant impact on mood regulation, and after something like a cytokine storm, it's possible that the immune system's response could lead to or exacerbate conditions like bipolar disorder. It's also amazing to hear that your manic episodes have shifted to hypomania, which tends to be less disruptive and more manageable. Being able to sleep a few hours a night without alcohol or smoking is huge! Sleep is such an important foundation for mental health, so that alone can make a big difference. If you’re feeling better and able to make these positive changes, that’s definitely a good sign. It sounds like your body is finding ways to recalibrate, and the fact that you’ve been able to quit smoking and reduce your alcohol use shows a lot of self-awareness and strength. Those two habits can often exacerbate mood swings and make things more challenging for people with bipolar disorder, so cutting them out is a big win.

1) stop desiring things 2) focus on the present momentdone. You are a leaf floating down a current. You go to a restaurant wanting a BURGER, but there is no BURGER. Is dinner ruined? No. It is still possible to have a good meal. Happiness can be found right now. Happiness does not require conditions.
>>41737508You have to know what you really need, then decide that any more is unimportant and insignificant in spite of its splendor. If wealth is needed, that's fine. It's greed and discontent that are the killers.Desire may not be a crime in itself, but it often leads to one. Not only the crime of passion, which is more common than we ever care to admit. What we lust for is so difficult to resist that we allow ourselves criminal acts to get it, when our longing exceeds our restrain. Discontent and greed are really expressions of desire. We are discontent when we don't have what we desire, and greed is the untamed eagerness to get what we desire, in abundance. Both of them easily lead to disaster as well as misfortune – even when we succeed to fulfill them. Especially when we fulfill them. Turning discontent into its opposite is likely to involve actions that are harmful to others, and therefore at length to ourselves. But mainly, once we are filled with discontent, what could possibly cure it? It's most likely to linger on, whatever benefits we manage to gain. That beast, when awakened, is very difficult to put to sleep again. To satisfy greed is a major feat that takes more than just one lifetime. Greed has no upper limit. When we are victims of it, the more we get the more we want. It's like a demon. Once it has appeared, there is no way of getting rid of it. Every offering to greed just makes it grow stronger. There is no fortune in the world large enough to bribe it off. So, even if the greedy one amasses a fortune, it will lead to nothing but misfortune.

I wont go too deep into it, but basically there was a period of severe bullying in my life , sometimes I just play the tapes - feel so much rage at how I let them treat me that way (they were superiors , they had authority over me at the time) I think what I really grieve is I'll always be truly hated by them, I've been not liked many times before, but its always been a cordial understanding of "we can still work together" or we are still on the same team, not in this particular instance , I can't ask for forgiveness , I will never get closure or a peaceful resolution (they revel in setting it all up like that)I want to move on so bad from this. But it just comes rushing back and I don't know how to mentally process this in a way that God would alleviate the burden , what prayer do I make? What thought do I keep in my mind?
What kind of a year will it be? I have a strange feeling in my gut. Even looking at the number itself is unnerving.
