I've been praying to Silvanus before hikes lately. I try to make a sacrifice of oats and mead to him on Sunday evenings as well. The first time I did, it was before a wild hike I went on. Went off trail (no trails anywhere where I live), trekked through the creek for a few hours, and then climbed out of the gulch straight up a steep hill. Tough as all fuck, so I took that to be a challenge from Silvanus to earn his favor. Since then, I've had fewer problems with bugs while I'm outside, I haven't seen any birds of prey circling my dog, and I've had spiders show up in my house that have helped out with some pest insects.
