While there has always been some fear of the unknown in relation to supernaturality, it seems most cultures embraced the netherworld and interacted with it without the stipulation that it was inherently evil. However, since Hollywood came around ( maybe earlier ? ) we have been given a visceral reaction of negativity. Whether fear, evil, or whatever. We all know hollywood is evil, so could it be that this, too, is just another psyop to keep us away from the spiritual? Anyone heard this before?

Can't contribute anything about Hollywood, but I suspect true evil isn't likely to reveal itself in hokey tropey ways like Hollywood does.
