someone on the nhk show mentioned takakeisho's skills as a coach showing through in takanosho's performance so I looked up the records of the rest of the stable and it seems like takakeisho might really have strong skills in that area, nearly all the lower rankers put up 6-1s or 5-2 except the guy who kyujo'd and the jonidan guy who lost to koga. 5 out of 5 KKs in makushita and higher. Tokiwayama moved up a bunch in the stable power ranking too

After shattering the record for fastest promotion to sanyaku from a maezumo debut and then fastest sekiwake promotion, Dan how now obliterated Kotooshu's record for the quickest promotion to ozeki from a non-tsukedashi start.
Hosh will hopefully be using the upcoming tour to get some more ring time with Aoni.He has to figure something out in the pre-belt part of the grapple, because he is getting beat in one of the places that he is usually the best at.I don't think we will be seeing the Asashoryu style of showing up at the stable of wrestlers who he lost to in the last basho, and beating the shit out of them to form a game plan for next basho and intimidate.Terunofuji definitely employed the tours to call out his weak matchups to learn, and with Onosato out this is the perfect time to leverage that privilege. If we ignore his first basho since he got injured, Kazuma's win rate from jonokuchi to sekitori has been 96.4%. He dropped a single bout and climbed 4 divisions in 4 basho. That must be the all-time record, right? Jokoryu did the same thing but his 6-1 came in Makushita so didn't jump straight to sekitori and went 5-2 in that 5th basho.I swear to god, every basho or two we're getting these utter monsters slaughtering everyone.
