Why does historical manga struggle to find a western audience?
There's a manga from the 90s called Happy Tiger about a tank squad in WWII that was on a poster in one scene of Girls und Panzer. It was free on Amazon at one point so I downloaded it but haven't read it yet. It's only one volume, and I don't believe it has any translations.

I feel like even GeGe understands that he's too dumb to write characters and a decent story. So he just throws in "flashy" fights to cater to the audience that thinks things like spiderman are good.
