Also, a lot of the adaptations don't show a big portion of the events that unfold for the main characters, like when Cao Cao climbed a high rock that the Qin emperor climbed before him centuries ago and saw distant lands, so he ordered for someone to head there to bring back the elixir of immortality. Cao Cao merely made a poem in that place while thinking of all he has done. I think it'd have been a very good scene to adapt.
