I try to pirate whatever OOP material I can for that reason. It's just the stuff that's fallen off entirely that's an issue, like Otsuka Eiji's Madara. I'd like to finish reading the manga because it clearly influenced Kishimoto beyond just giving him a name for a character in Naruto.

Just let me enjoy my slop in peace. I also don't like that I can tell how rushed of an adaptation it is even though I never read the source material. You can just tell they skimmed a volume, got the basic story beats while cherry picking the jokes they liked. They probably cut out a bunch of dialogue of characters they didn't want to pay to voice because Ane, Mone and Hamko were there the entire time without a single thing to say. The first chapter is actually translated and you can compare it to the first episode and it's pretty much as I described.
