The show is so bad I have to keep making up words just to describe it. Obviously I can't recommend this show to anyone. As a comedy it fails miserably. I only laughed a handful of times and it was the kind of laughing you do at pathetic memes on the internet. It's not really a great harem anime because like there's only ever one girl in __________'s harem at any given time. I do not care about __________'s relation with __________ so don't even mention it. The romance elements of the show obviously aren't any good because each romance is only given like 1-3 episodes to develop and they're all between characters I hate so... For the most part I don't really like shonens so... I'll just leave that as it is. And finally it is a supernatural anime for sure, but if you're a supernatural anime fan just skip this one and go watch ANYTHING ELSE. If you've read this far, have a nice day.

Why did this not lead to other Go Nagai manga getting modern adaptions? It was a huge hit at the time and although I'd already heard of Getter Robo at that point it got me to read Nagai's other works. A Violence Jack movie or something would be awesome.

Watched it. Without having read the manga, I feel it was rushed, like these should have been two episodes, one for the intro + Fish and then another with Vlad and the twist of the main character being a selfish asshole. I liked the fights and the visuals, and the fact the main character is selfish makes sense given his background. Will likely be one of those fast paced adaptations of relatively popular manga most likely.
