Y'know, stuff like massacre (party) or whateverIt's even in the japanese title in a way, since after getting used to the MCs' names it looks like Shinoha (Ninja) and Kiwami (Gokudou)Most manga do this to some extent but it's so constant and absurd here, it's the biggest meme associated with this series in Japan.

>>284893860That's because after the first arc it goes 90% manga original and it clearly doesn't want to step on the toes of the novel in terms of actual story, because its a sequel to another novel worldgate online that never got a manga adaption. It's a mess honestly. Ps, I think both novels are boring so I'm not knocking the decision to ignore them either. The manga artist has a better sense of humour, the character art is cute and at least the action is nice. As long as you can enjoy the tournament and no stake fights it's fine.
