Once he joins the party, he's the one character who NEVER wavers in his commitment, is ALWAYS ready to lay it all on the line for his comrades, and best of all, he does all of this while knowing full well his limitations and that he can only do so much against these ever-more powerful enemies. Yet even when he's thoroughly outclassed, he still steps forward and helps in any way he can, even if it's just to distract the enemy for a moment or tank a mortal blow for one of his friends. Because of all these things, even when he "jobs", it doesn't FEEL like jobbing. He always keeps his dignity intact.
