Furinkan doesn't specifically mention it either on this chapter or on Kanna's character page, so maybe they used a different term here.

Original title is 三匹目の妖怪. This is appropriately translated, but I was so curious about why this title seemed so long in comparison and it turns out because it more literally translates to something 'The Third One of the Yokai'. I just found that neat. I don't know what the difference between sanbanme (the third) and sanbikime (the third one) really is. Okay, searching some more, someone says "三匹目 is used when counting animals. For example, 三匹目のぶた means the third pig counting from one." Fascinating. February 2nd, 2000. The original title is "悟心鬼" which is Goshinki's name in Japanese. However, the original localization actually translated the name out to 'The Mind-Reader' for the sake of understanding and Furinkan has a note about it:"The Japanese title of this chapter is simply, "Goshinki" however the English translation did the very commendable job of trying to convey to the English audience what the subtext is in the kanji used to write Goshinki's name (悟心鬼). Goshinki's name is written with the kanji "go" meaning "to percieve or discern", "shin" which is "mind" and "ki" which is "devil". Basically his name means "mind reading devil"."I wonder if the term Kagura used was the same. Anyway, machine translation suggested 'wicked demon', so there might be another pun of some sort involved. 日帰りの夢 or "One Day Dream" or "Daytrip Daydream" as it is translated here was published on February 20th, 2000 in Big Comic Original. As such, it was published around the time of the chapters in this volume. The title does appear to be a combination of 'one day trip' and 'daydream' if translated literally. This translation is a fanscan. Of course, as unofficial fanscans and translations, they have their own issues but at the least we don't have to worry about flipped art. This fanscan appears to have actually located the original publication, so we actually have the color pages. This story originally had four pages of color and four pages of red tint. This fanscan seemed to do a better job with the sound effects, since it was a different team, perhaps. I appreciate it. I like this one, but hey, it is another middle-aged man one-shot. She never seemed to get tired of making these. Enjoy!

Let me post the manga extra from the wideban before I forget. I believe this is the wideban extras for volumes 15-16. This one is about Koga! Save your applause. As usual, I'll post it in two parts and spoiler what I consider to be "spoilers. "Koga Started Out More VillainousAt first, I thought of Koga as more of a cowardly bad guy, but as I continued writing, he actually turned out to be pretty decent. When we first meet him you might say he’s a bit wild. I mean, we see him rip off the head of a comrade who had betrayed him. It’s the kind of terrible thing we expect from a demon. Atrocious by human standards, but I don’t think demons see it as such. They’re just behaving as demons do.Koga is fast on his feet, and that is because I wanted to give him a different role than Inuyasha. Inuyasha is a character excelling in physical strength, swinging around a massive sword, so I thought it would be a good idea to introduce a character excelling in speed. Honestly, assigning character traits is a struggle. You consider what strengths you haven’t used yet, and assign those to new characters so everyone ends up with a parameter they excel at.I didn’t think Koga would work alone, as wolves tend to live in packs, so I created the Demon Wolf Tribe for him. And of course, when we first meet him, we watch him rip to shreds a comrade who betrayed him, and rather than him doing that do a human, I thought having the encounter be between two demons would make the scene less gruesome."

This is the first time our main characters were so hopelessly outmatched. You could feel the desperation. Then the fight gets two shocking developments: Goshinki breaking Tessaiga then Inuyasha transforming into a full yokai. That had lasting ramifications for the rest of the series, and Goshinki's impact doesn't end there since his fangs get used to create Sesshomaru's sword.
