>>275330855I noticed there are a few occasions in the story which makes it transparent that Araki follows the logic that a stand attack isn't necessarily an attack made by a stand body's part. It seems a stand attack is just generally speaking an attack made by a stand, moved by their own strength, including using mundane objects. In part 6 Jolyne even hurts a stand by throwing a pencil, extending the logic to a throwing weapon. It's clearly too abusable so Araki only allows mundane weapon stand attacks in sparse scenes. Plus in this case Ebony Devil is a possessing ability so it's easier to offer the excuse that it grants the "stand attack" special tag to everything it controls.
