>>286264948I think that's the logical conclusion at this point. Underdoctor has an attractive artstyle but has just been going in increasingly stupid circles since it debuted. Dr. Kino is also too OP as a doctor to be actually Kino. Alien Headbutt is fun, but it's also messy and feels amateurish in parts. Winning with a throwback style was a longshot to begin with, you can't afford to do that and also be mediocre. Kinato is competent. It's not blowing anyone away, but the story is progressing steadily and hitting the right character beats, etc. It's one of the few new series in recent years that didn't feel like it was throwing in the first five chapters that I can recall. On top of that it's in a style that's broadly popular in general these days, even if overdone. Unless it stumbles hard I expect it'll stick around for a while.
