> US PRESIDENT TRUMP ON TRUTH

>"After getting to know and fully understand the Ukraine/Russia Military and Economic situation and, after seeing the Economic trouble it is causing Russia, I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form. With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original Borders from where this War started, is very much an option. Why not? Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years a War that should have taken a Real Military Power less than a week to win. This is not distinguishing Russia. In fact, it is very much making them look like “a paper tiger.” When the people living in Moscow, and all of the Great Cities, Towns, and Districts all throughout Russia, find out what is really going on with this War, the fact that it’s almost impossible for them to get Gasoline through the long lines that are being formed, and all of the other things that are taking place in their War Economy, where most of their money is being spent on fighting Ukraine, which has Great Spirit, and only getting better, Ukraine would be able to take back their Country in its original form and, who knows, maybe even go further than that! Putin and Russia are in BIG Economic trouble, and this is the time for Ukraine to act. In any event, I wish both Countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them. Good luck to all! DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA"

To some extent. You can compare greeks between SPX weeklies for the next few weeks vs the closest exps for VIX opts (and futs if near exp).

Looking at how the greeks are changing between these will give you an idea of whether dealers are long, short or flat vol, in a very general sense.

You can then guess at their unwinding of hedges and when a good time would be to jump in and provide a "counter flow" to what they're usually doing themselves.

been working on the backend forever now (mostly focused on DeFi flash loan applications) but would you, under any circumstances, pay a monthly fee to use this site in some manner? it's just a mockup site so nothing actually works.
https://alphapulse.org/

I'm hoping the simple UI on the Research page (click the wrench and notebook icons and pretend things work) could be a premium feature (it'd have to be, since running backtest and training ML models at scale will cost me money). the cells would compile down into Jupyter notebook cells and you could write your own etc and there's AI analysis on the output (this is how I'd want to be 'using AI (LLMs) to trade' personally, not making decisions in live trading but instead reviewing results and guiding analysis)

I'd like to make it able to hookup to Alpaca and such for live execution but there may be regulatory hurdles in doing so. but the idea basically a UI wrapper around Jupyter notebooks and nice environment for developing algos and doing stat research, with a step-through execution on the monitor page to see what your strategy does in real time. I'd probably open source the core of the backend too so users don't feel locked in but keep some stuff private to incentivize use on the platform. I think it's just a nice UI and I'll probably add X/Twitter feed integration and other stuff like that, for a long time I've wanted something like Hacker News but for quant finance and modeling, a place for quality discussion and also a shared platform for execution and backtesting like what Quantopian/QuantConnect did/do, but with a nicer UI and more of a public discussion draw.

if you poke around, try and 'get what I mean' by stuff, as it doesn't work yet. also assume im aware of any UI bugs. it's not gonna work if I can't charge at least $5/mo to let users use the servers though

>are you thinking about it yet?
yes, constantly. I see the "trap." 50% annual gain of 100k means 150k, then 225K, then 337k if the trend contiues it accelrates and the ever increasing returns is the 'hook' to stay in but I know a sharp correction will cost a lot, so I keep thinking about selling off some to lock in a new higher postion, but that kills the acceleration.

TA can yield statistical edge. I get why people have a problem with it, but those problems generally boil down to poor application (e.g, just drawing lines and believing in them without sufficient data or analysis). It's just another lens in which to search for correlations.

>>60982335
Got tired of my currency getting devalued and didn't know enough about the market to buy individual stocks or index funds. I save like $70k a year so I figure even without active trading I will have enough money to just fuck off by the time im 40-45ish. But man this volatility has me hooked, it's like 2021 again and all the kids at work are secretly trading because they know it's the only way they can make it. The future is going to be a sea of poors and multimillionaire zoomies.

They are essentially just pure functions using OHLCV data as input, or some geometry (bar patterns, chart shapes, etc - think head and shoulders, island gap, trendlines, etc). They aren't really complicated, a moving average for example is just the average price of the last N bars. I don't think the mechanics behind an indicator are super important though, unless you're interested in developing your own.

>>60982368
Alpaca, it sucks for options data though. I'm using Rust, was using Python before but wanted something performant enough to do defi arb, market making and HFT and process tons of data live very quickly.
>>
>>60982376
Anyone who is employed would be retarded to not also be in the market. Maybe that was always true but it's true today. Doesn't even matter if you make $40k or $400k, you aren't going to level up 99% of the time with your day job.

I am selling CCs until called away then selling puts. I sell DIM puts if I think the stock is likely to rip past the strike, so I like the 1w expiry. If I own the stock and it rips I will sell a DIM CC if I think the price will pull back. I don't care about the stock just trying to maximize the premiums on each buy/sale
