Anon i just saw an offer for a bunch of Morgan Dollars for about 45 Euros a piece and was thinking of getting a bunch
Its a mark up of about 40% which is a lot but i really like how they look and its hard to get US coins over here in Germany
Is it worth it to splurge a bit before Silver reaches 50 Euros and these pieces become even more expensive?

There is some mine responsible for ~4-5% of the global copper supply that is shutting down after some failure. They're supposed to be shut down for a year more more apparently.

I bet they're talking about it in the commodities thread. This is a precious metals thread. Copper is a base metal. However it is semi relevant in this case because most silver mined is a byproduct such as from copper mines.

Wow what a beautiful coin(?). I wish the end times weren’t approaching - all I have (numismatics wise) of odd german coins is a scuffed up zeppelin. Thank you for sharing and congratulations. What is your favorite design on early 20th/late 19th century Germany coin?

This is my blog, so here is a .2ozt platinum kitty cat I picked up a while back. I’ve been unable to find ANY comps for this or similar. Only a few of the cats from the series were made in the .2ozt platinum and the Pobjoy mint never released mintage numbers.

hard to say really since there are so many good designs. for something that isn't hard to find, probably a 1908 saxe weimar eisenach 5 Mark (fatman with sword), but i would definitely take some 2 talers over that or the super rare empire coins if they could be found / afforded. for the medal's time period that you replied to, it would definitely be one of the goetz medals. i think they're way better than the period coins, while they're on par with empire coins and weimar coins. if we could go back a bit further, it would be one of the 2 talers like picrel.

I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE! I’m done, I’m out, I’m selling ALL my silver! The market volatility is straight-up CRUSHING my soul! Buckle up, because one day it’s mooning to $47, the next it’s crashing to $46 like it’s playing jump rope with my sanity! I thought stacking those shiny bars would make me feel like a king, believing silver was the lynchpin that’d bring the American banking sector to its knees faster than a margin call! But now I’m just a nervous wreck checking charts every five seconds! I’m not a revolutionary, I’m a human with BILLS! This rollercoaster’s got me dizzy, and I’m DONE riding it. Buckle up, because I’m liquidating every last ounce, buying some stablecoins, and maybe a nice comfy pillow to cry into. SILVER MARKET, YOU WIN. I’M OUT!

>How close is the spread between you and the next seller.
Sadly there is no magic formula, it really depends on the condition, the offer (rarity), etc.. I'd say in average i'm 15-20% cheaper than the 2nd cheapest option internationally. Sometimes i'm 50-70% cheaper on rare coins, but it doesn't necessarily mean i'm proposing a great price, simply that the few others sellers have stupidly high prices. But my logic is to move my stock relatively "fast" (by numis standards), ie sit on it less than 3 months optimally, while big numismatic stores don't mind sitting on stuff for 5-8 years. But i don't have their treasury, so if i want to slurp good deals, i need to free up liquidities often.

For the very rare stuff where i'm the only offer on ebay, i usually check on coinarchives and sell 15-20% below the last auction(s) (which already are before 20% auction houses' buyers fees, so -35/-40% total).

Still there is hope for the jew. You can repent for your people killing Jesus Christ, repent for your people genociding millions and making up the holocaust.
And accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
A you can help un mess up the planet

And C you won't burn in hell forever.
Sadly very few jews will do this.

You are still the best option and ebay isn't eating you as much. If someone wants the coin they will still look at your price as the more attractive one. I would also up your rare stuff sells from coin archives. Before you leave the site, why not give it a try and see if your items still move like they normally do?

is etsy international? Sometimes I grab things off there and my understanding is the premiums for sellers are a little less. The problem you will run into is there is no better alternative to ebay when it comes to eyes. Sure, as the seller you may make a better return because the site doesn't charge you as much but the time you will be holding your items will negate any returns.

You are a gentleman and a scholar for holding out for this long but I fear it is time to become a little more greedy. Just know even if you were to do what we discussed the person is still getting the better deal, because you are listing it for less than any competitor. Can't beat that.

A lot of gold and silver production comes as a byproduct of copper mining. Anything that slows down copper production indirectly reduces gold and silver production.

Haven't you ever noticed judas betrayed the synagogue and all the teachings about the sanctity of life in the flesh when he threw the silver at them and went and hung himself?
That day, the sound of repentance was also the sound of betrayal, it was the sound of sound money ringing on the floor at the feet of the religious leaders.

The bullion banks started pivoting from short to long this year. These little puffs down are the banks burning paper positions so they can buy back more of the metals at a slight discount. That's why none of the shorts have been sustained long term and the price is running out of control faster and faster.

>This may work on a politician or goy but it won't save them
"Free will" is a very misleading term. Everything we experience. Everything we see, touch, taste, hear, and smell, and I could even say imagine is inundated with what appears to be a hierarchical order that some construe incorrectly as a slave/master dynamic, or a servant/lords relationship in which pride tempts all of us to assume the role of master or lord when in fact we are already master of the perception that we have misunderstood from the very core of our beings.
When Jesus said "you call me lord and master and rightly so, but if I your lord and master wash your feet, so should you, for the least shall be the greatest" wasn't a call to inversion or competition in serving, but an example of cooperation over competition. Thus again points towards unity instead of separating *at one with* or atonement again. There's many messianic jews and even of these many, very few renounce the name jew. It's the narrowest of the narrow roads for sure, but I have met a few, and those that uave are free to goodwill. And I don't mean the charity corporation that sells used furniture and clothing. I mean unencumbered by vanity and pride. So I have seen it happen. Outwardly of course, I don't know their hearts so I can only say they're not who they were and Jesus gets the credit and that's a miracle in my perception.
>>
>>61019072

Rather than copper, i'd advise anons who want a cheap alternative to PMs to go after tin. It's 25X rarer than copper (2ppm vs 50ppm in the earth's crust), and only get mined 10X more than silver (280Kt vs 27Kt/y), while the spot price is at $35/kg (vs $1,500 for silver).
That's an alternative scrapanon loved to tell us about, it never got any traction because he was alone going after it and didn't actively shill for it, and i believe he was right on this one (like always kek).

And more importantly, contrary to many others' semi-precious elements where you are forced to purchase at X2/X3 spot price from specialized refiners, tin was widely popular as flatware and various house items during the XVIIIth-early XXth century. So you can easily find plates, pitchers, cups, etc... in flea markets and online for very cheap. Because literally nobody still knows about tin anymore.
Also pewter/tin have a hallmark system just like gold and silver, it's easy to identify what you find.

Just last year i lost both my gramparents on my father's side, and we had to empty their home and share it among the family members. I didn't want anything, but few months after the sharing when i passed by their home and visited a last time, i noticed nobody wanted any of the tin items, they were left among countless craps in the "to bin away" box, so i got few kilos of the stuff.
I bet that's true for most old boomers (like 80yo+)'s houses.

Finally, just like silver, tin have a shitload of applications and interesting properties. For example it's used in most solders, for food preservations : steel/aluminum cans have a thin plating of tin inside, it is the main stabilizer for PVC production (PVC would rapidly degrade under heat, light, and atmospheric oxygen without tin used as dibutyltin dilaurate). It's also used for various alloys, in Li-on batteries, as biocide, etc..

With tin you got the right balance between cheap but rare enough in the earth crust.

>>61019113
>The central bank is backing the positions of the major bullion banks, and they will (mostly) not be allowed to fail.
100% agree. They are shorting silver to indirectly protect the dollar, among other reasons, which mostly benefit Jews.

>>61016045
>Why do they do tamp? Is it the government to keep military equipment cheaper? So insiders can slurp cheapies?
They tamp to increase volatility, which makes silver unattractive to silver investors, which reduces the market cap of silver, and indirectly keeps the price down. No hedgefund manager wants to lose his job because they tamped silver down just prior to the end of the quarter.

Why tamp silver?
1. Physical silver ownership generates no recurring revenue for the Wall Street ecosystem.
2. Silver (and gold) price is a proxy for the health of the US dollar.
3. Lower silver price helps industry get higher profits which bumps their share prices up, benefiting Wall Street.
4. Higher silver prices will crowd out the marginal industrial users (ie, solar panel makers) who use a lot of silver but operate on small margins, hurting Wall Street/China

I've looked into casting nice copper ingots, and it turns out to be much harder than one would think. Molten copper absorbs oxygen, and when the copper cools you get porosity, so the molten copper must be degassed before casting.

Yes, copper kinda is the exception when it comes to common metals, most don't have any bullion options availible, and unless you buy industrially by the metric tons or from specialized shops raping your ass, there aren't much choice.
But since copper was used in coinage, refiners/smelters are banking on this heritage to sell copper as bullion (for very big markups sadly).

That's why with pewter you must go after old items, type "pewter", "old flatware" or some key words along those lines on FB marketplace or ebay to find some stuff boomers are ditching. It's not the easiest way, but that's the cheapest by far.
Tin looks like picrel if you want to get an idea of the luster/coloring.

I have a stack that I built a dozen years ago, when the one-pound bars were $750 and the kilos were $15. Now I have about 100 pounds of the stuff. Not sure what to do with it, but it sells for a lot more now.
For that matter, not sure what to do with the silver either.

idk, but it's roughly 1/3rd less dense than silver (7g/cc VS 10.5g/cc). So it feels heavy just about like steel items, but when you touch it, tin have a very peculiar grain to it, it feels like recently sanded wood.

Part of me wishes I bought more at $1,800 but at the same time my gold just sits in its little treasure box with my silver. Getting more is always good + fun but I won't be selling it until I'm very old (if at all) and it's not like having a couple more oz early will really change much.

What do you mean? You can pay PCGS to "conserve" your coin before it's holdered, which is them cleaning it without marking such on the holder. If it has the trueview with toning on it, then you'd have to break it out and get it re-graded. You can't just open a holder and put the coin back.

Turns out they oxidize in the factory plastic anyway, just more slowly. The ones I sealed in archival plastic are still shiny pink.
>Thoughts on this?:
A few things. Really good pride - best I can think of offhand. They're not stamped with metal content, purity, or mass. They might be made from pennies (95%), but you'd have to get them tested to be sure and the same goes if you sell. Not a huge problem really. The realistic-yet-low price can easily make up for that 5% uncertainty, if that's all. He's got good reviews, and that's promising, provided the other buyers knew what they got.
If I thought of selling them afterwards, I'd consider getting them tested, then grinding off a bare spot and stamping metal, purity, and mass.
If you're thinking of stacking, $10/lb is extremely low, but still 2x spot. So it's credible, but astonishing.

I suppose it depends. I stack lower percentage as well as full ounces and bars. Diversify. The meme about an American Mercury dime for pussy is a meme but that's kind of the strategy. If things get crazy you're not going to trade a full oz for something like an apple so that's why you have lower percentage coins. Ever see in movies where they shear off a little chip of a coin to buy something? That's what your lower percentage coins are for.

We were just brainstorming, WHAT HAPPENS WHEN LBMA RUNS DRY?

Say the "spot" price is $53 and LBMA says "sorry, we have no bars left," then WHAT is the real price for silver? I don't know. It's clearly not $53, because you can't buy any at that price.

Pretend I'm an industrial user and I've bought a year's worth of bars in advance and I'm willing to sell a few bars for liquidity. How much do I charge? I don't know, but it will be more than $53, because I can't replace my bars at that price.

Is $63, $73, $83, $103 a fair price? Do I go on Ebay? Amazon? Aliexpress?

LBMA has a history of outright lying when their supplies go low, first example, this spring claiming they need EIGHT WEEKS to deliver gold because the bars are heavy and there aren't enough trucks.

Second example, March, 2021, LBMA has an accounting error and claims they have 3300 tons (100 million oz) more than they actually had.

There will be no warning before the LBMA vault runs dry, they will make excuses for delayed delivery. Reminder, LBMA is an OTC market (not futures like the COMEX) with normal delivery time within 24-48hrs.
>>
>>61019991
>I have 250 oz of silver and if my math is right thats 7kg wait am i in the gonna make it section?
A fair ratio is 50:1 so you have 5oz gold equivalent.

Checked, and women find it easy to love a man with resources.
>>
>>61019962
Something like that is probably going to happen. But then you have NYMEX/COMEX Rule 589 that limits silver to a $12/day increase. So what happens when they run out and are exposed as lying about their numbers? It's like uncharted waters. Whats that term for the spot/cash price being above the futures price? Backwardation?
>>
>>61019988
>Calculating all the 90% stuff just seems like a headache
https://certifiedcalculator.com/junk-silver-calculator-by-weight/
you will never get an exact weight on it unless you melt it down
>>
>>61020038
>It's like uncharted waters.
The price discovery for physical moves to other markets where the $12 dollar rule doesn't apply.

I'm not selling my silver at a "market" price fixed by a market that doesn't have any silver for sale at that price. If COMEX is playing price limit games, then I have to charge a high enough premium to offset the risk that the real price might be 50% higher than the "official" numbers.

Paradoxically, by trying to suppress the price, they might end up causing it to go temporarily much higher than the true market clearing price.

That might create the window for us to arbitrage from silver to gold at a favorable ratio.
