The president is posting AI slop videos of him dropping massive balls of shit on protestors. I think this is bullish for gold
>>

That's what ppl have been doing too on ebay. I myself have a numis store on ebay, and last week someone wiped CLEAN anything i got there who was below spot.

Those were low-numismatic coins like picrel, who i usually was expecting to sell for x2 spot back when i put them on sale, but the shitty algos let them collect dust on page 2577 of ebay for years, so now instead of x2 spot they are at -25/-35% spot, and i never thought of updating the prices (hell i completely forgot they even existed!). And since i'm honest i've no choice but to accept the L and send them ofc.

So there are dusty-pricetag chasers out there, that's for sure. I wonder how they do it (do they search each coin by name manually? that's the only way i found to look for old listings); bcuz i'd love to do the same to others shops kek.
Is it possible to create some kind of bot who would track by listing date and key word? That shit would print money!

>Even when every thread is metals, will there ever be a sign to sell?
Gold and silver are money, but during certain periods of low liquidity, like during a recession or a hyperinflation, gold and silver become disproportionately valuable relative to everything else, including land/houses. During these crisis periods, the gold silver ratio also tends to drop. You won't need anyone to tell you when that time is right, everyone around you will be suffering and many would murder you if they knew you had a stack.

With mining stocks, it's a different story. The time to get out is when there is peak popularity. You can always buy back in later. With stocks it's always better to sell a month (or a year) too early, than one day too late.

One should always keep SOME physical silver/gold on hand for a rainy day/emergency.

Hack of pingcoin.apk version 0.1.34

If you don't trust this apk, you can build it yourself using apktool, original Pingcoin apk (version 0.1.34) and the files in this archive.
You cannot install both original Pingcoin and this hack simultaneously, because they are installed in the same folder and they have the same app id.

I secured a low interest loan on land that I'm developing in my spare time after waging to eventually move onto and sell my shitbox in town. If I can do it anyone can, fren. You don't need 100s of acres and from what I've experienced most put themselves in serious trouble just to say they own a large plot.

Unless great-grandpa got 1600 acres in a handshake deal for saving his friend's sister from the local red men, 5+ acres close to town without restriction and the means to grow some food places you well into comfy territory.

Prices will go down because most boomer wealth is trapped in land/houses and there just isn't enough wealth so support their entitlements. The dollar will be devalued at least another 70% just to keep the boomers in diapers, dialysis and hip replacements.

If you're under 50, your prospects for your own land and a decent wife are very good.

The rigging is what lead to the market breaking. Keeping the physical price artificially low by manipulation via the paper market has led us to the point where there isn't enough physical available.

Hoisted by their own petard. The price could be triple digits by year end.

Let me bring back the conversation to PMs with this analogy:
Image if, instead of Trump, Xi Jinping posted a video like this - say, a cartoon of him dropping a poop bomb on Hong Kong protesters back in 2019.
Would this make people more or less inclined to trust and buy Chinese government debt?
Now, imagine if China's fiat currency was also the main currency used for global trade and investment, and then he posted a poop video.
Bullish or bearish for PMs?
>>

Also, half dollars made before the 1850s are larger than later Silver halves, so you probably got it for less than 15% over spot.

>>
>>61153639
>What does this mean?
It means the market is not responding in the way that a normally functioning market behaves. Backwardation is one example, where the futures price, which is normally higher than the current spot price, is lower because there is a shortage of physical available for immediate delivery.

Another example of a breaking market is when there are inexplicable gaps during the trading day when there's no silver available for sale, so there are gaps in the chart, like what happened the evening markets on Oct 9.

Try not to compare your stack to others.
You'll always be disappointed.
There's always some random billionaire fudding into thousands of ounces at a time.
That has nothing to do with you.
Focus on what you can do.
Focus on your life and what you can accomplish.
The fact that you're stacking at all is excellent and noteworthy.
You're better off than 99% of the population just by having more than ten ounces.
You are going to make it.
I can tell.
God be with you.

It would be interesting to know when we started to include pockets in pants. Maybe back in 1800-1820 blue jeans didn't have pockets and the only way to carry change was to string the coins and tie it to your belt?
idk, this theory may be pants-on-head retarded, but that's the first thing who came to mind kek. After all sowing pockets is quite a pain in the ass when it's not done with machines.

Yes, that actually does happen. That's happened during every period of inflation, and they factor "inflation" into mortgage loans somewhat to still make their money - they make basically all their money during the first 10 years of the mortgage when hardly any money pays off the loan, and it all just goes to pay off the interest instead.
So even if it "inflates away" if the mortgage was going for 10 years they nearly have their money back already, and they still get the remaining 20 at a relatively reduced amount.

What actually has happened in the past is the economy dips and people lose their jobs, but the taxes stay the same, so people get taxed out of their houses, that are now worth more due to inflation (this means higher property taxes), so with more taxes the properties are unsustainable and get sold off for pennies / foreclosed on.
And maybe the bank that gave out the loan gets a bailout, but they don't just reprice the loans.

Scrolling through /pmg/ has the habit of giving me the feeling that my stack isn't enough even though it's steadily grown since starting four years ago. The pictures of massive piles of shiny stokes almost an inadequacy that one should not take personally.

Set a timeline and keep to it. Track your expenses to identify exactly how clean your spending habits are. Too much booze and trashy food? That could be another 5 ounces gained over the course of the month.

Really the thing that shows this is all crashing down and burning is just the massive income inequality in the USA right now.
I know, I know, we are ekwal and better than everything and everything, but nobody actually makes money in america - at least not the young people.
The only ones that do make a MASSIVE amount of money - like double or triple the rest - but there's basically no zoomer middle class. You either make peanuts at a job that will never give you a raise or you make triple that. There's no transition jobs. It's an unintended consequence of the investment economy vs production economy, everyone invests and so the places that have money get it from investors, and they all compete to make better products and get money out of the investment, but never actually make money, but meanwhile pay their people 100k (this would be considered an absurdly high wage for most americans actually)

based hitler doubles

I love the AI hysteria because it proves two things; the blind mania behind the next big thing that will make everyone who puts money into it trillionaires and the totally vacant justification on how it will somehow improve the economy and finally bring forth the economic utopia we've been striving for since the birth of capitalism. TRUST ME BRO, THIS TIME AROUND WE'RE ALL GONNA BE RICH AND UBI AND 20 HOUR WORK WEEKS.

It's either going to crash the economy at an unforeseen scale, create even worse class disparity and the final death of the middle class, dystopian social control over the plebs, or all of the above.

Since the very first industrial revolution we have been promised that if only we work a little while longer we will be free. It's been 200 years and shit's only gotten gayer and more retarded.

I was born to harvest potatoes, be illiterate, love Christ, and continually impregnate my 5/10 wife before dying less than 20 miles from where I was born. Satan took this away from us and we've gained nothing but tranny porn, fiat currencies, and gay race communism.

Thing is we could have that if not for taxation and government intervention in general.
Can't have 20 hour workweeks with 38 trillion in debt, an aging population (that gets government pensions, if they didn't get free shit it wouldn't be a problem), and the welfare state.
They don't actually WANT people to ever work less hours, they need to pump those numbers up. They'd have everyone work 50 if they could.

It's proof that we are run by a definitively satanic cabal of blood thirsty demons. All the underlying energy of our culture is around positive growth and betterment of the individual in rhythm with the collective. Why can't we work towards a future that we can be proud of? Why are we stuck in this hyperindividualist pioneer mentality when we stopped fighting indians over 100 years ago? There is no such things as too much power in the eyes of the demons ruling our world. "You will know them by their fruits" and their fruits are rotten.

But if 2022 is any indication that base metals prices organically want to rip and do a 10-bagger then each $1.52 you spend on copper pennies could be worth $40 of raw purchasing power. (hypothetically, possibly many years from)

(Part 1)
Some thoughts, collected from various sources:

I learned today that they tried really hard to hammer silver down below $49 on Oct 17th because Friday at 1300 (1pm) was the options close deadline. Silver still bounced back to ~$52 by daily close.

So on Friday when silver dipped ~$2, how many paper contracts did they magically poof into existence?

977 million oz worth. So divide that by 5000 oz per contract for the number of contracts. 977 million oz is more than the total years production.

The silver market traded 977 million paper ounces on Friday to manipulate prices down just a couple fiat dollars. The COMEX had 308 deliveries and the LBMA had 775. Imagine selling 100% of world's mining supply in one day to smash the price a measly $2. This market is unbelievable.

There are videos on social media showing crowds outside bullion dealers' shops in Vietnam, Singapore, Australia. There are multiple news reports out of India saying not a sliver of sliver can be found, and the largest refiner in India just said that they're completely out of silver for the first time in history. People trying to buy gold and silver in Perth, Australia have reported waiting in line for up to 5 hours.
>>
>>61154550
(Part 2)

In a couple of weeks when all the boomers in the US who sold see where silver goes (and gold), they're going to 180 and many will dump their inflated stocks and move back into precious metals. By the time the Eastern world demand calms down, the Western world will wake up and tons of our silver will have already left the country. I have no idea how much more paper silver they can manipulate the market with, but with global demand rising and rising, and faith in debt-based fiat currencies plummeting, I doubt they'll be able to suppress silver for long.

In 1980, silver hit its previous all time high of $50.35 on the COMEX. That's about $197 in 2025 dollars. For 45 years people have been talking about silver in a dollar value that's been out of date and irrelevant for 44.5 of those years. Silver's current price in 2025 is equal to about $12 in 1980 dollars. But beyond inflation what so many old timers don't seem to understand is that in 1980 there were still millions upon millions of silver coins in daily circulation. And, since 1980 there are about a billion new silver buyers or more in Asia and the Asian-Pacific. The central banks of Mexico, Russia and Saudi Arabia have invested in silver, China continues to amass a strategic stockpile. And, the central banks of Mongolia and Czechia have discussed creating silver reserves - when's the last time central banks were interested in silver?

The total amount of silver ever mined vs the total amount of gold ever mined is a ratio of about 8.78:1, yet the suppression of silver has placed its value at about 80:1 currently. Throughout history, one ounce of silver was valued at a ratio ranging from 8-20 to 1 ounce of gold. It's absurd to view silver's present trajectory as anything but a corrective breakout and revaluation that's been due for a long, long time.
>>
>>61154514

>>
>>61154545

>>
>>61154560
(Part 3)

Now, about refiners: The refiners need to make a bazillion COMEX bars for a few weeks. It takes 5x to 6x as long to process 90% and sterling into .999 COMEX bars. The refiners' are only buying .999+ right now because they can just melt it and pour. Dealers can sell .999 to refiners or retail customers, but 90% silver is selling at or below spot because they are temporarily unable to send it to refiners and the public retail demand isn't as strong for worn 90% because, A) it's not technically investment grade for IRAs, and B) new buyers are told by youtubers to buy rounds, eagles and maples. In six weeks or less the problems at the LME will stabilize enough to stave off Financial Crisis 2.0 and refiners will start accepting junk silver again at $65+/oz. It's not a big deal. We live at a weird moment in time where demand for silver grew so fast and so great it broke the system, demand led directly to insane leasing rates, demand jammed up the refiners, and demand paused the movement of 90% silver. Demand. Broke. The. System. Take a second or two to think about that. These are all incredibly, incredibly bullish signals.

People are hard up and think its a good price, they just don't know it's going much higher. It started when silver broke above $40 but honestly I think the tide turned as more people started scrutinizing the global situation and silver stayed above $50. Probably more buyers in NA now, that's why premiums are up and products are selling out.

If the government's money becomes worthless, how will they pay people to go around and confiscate precious metals?

Also, if confiscation is sooo effective, why are there millions of pre-1933 US gold coins on the market today?

Maybe the whole confiscation idea is just another desperate FUD attempt by cryptofags whose even less-tangible-than-paper "wealth" is in extreme danger of disappearing if the public stops putting money into their pyramid scheme. Maybe it's projection, since crypto can be made completely valueless and nontransferable by just one executive order and a few keystrokes.

I'm interested in buying physical silver or perhaps even gold but I'm curious about the cost of buying and selling. Let's say I go to a bullion dealer and buy some silver today, are there any fees? Will they sell it at the current spot price? When selling, do they buy at spot price, and is there a fee for that as well? Forgive my ignorance on this matter, I know nothing about it and would like to learn from people who have bought physical PMs rather than google or AI.

>Let's say I go to a bullion dealer and buy some silver today, are there any fees?
The fee is the premium. Total cost = spot price + premium.

>Will they sell it at the current spot price?
It depends on what you are buying most likely no. Usually there is a small premium or markup (usually less than 10%).

>When selling, do they buy at spot price, and is there a fee for that as well?
Usually they buy at spot or a little less. It depends on what you are selling.
