>>150781168>>150781191Based
>>150781191Shadow of Fate might be my favorite episode of the entire show
>>150778080I don't think it could have been put anywhere else, not that it was a GOOD place to put it.Season 1 was ended on a cliffhanger to shill season 2, so you can't open with an unrelated story. You can't put it AFTER Spear dies because many people will legit not even realize another episode exists after the story has ended. They HAD to stick in the middle like a boil on an asscheek.
>>150753486UWE was incoherant shit long before the ending.
>>150782759Or, OR, they could have just scrapped it and used to episode slot to flesh out the finale.
It feels like /co/ has gone radio silent since the release of the pilot. So what's up with Lackadaisy?
>>150781228>Frankly I think Tracy was stupid to turn down Viv's money unless there was a good legal reason for it.weren't there ex-Spindelhorse crew working on her pilot? I'd imagine it stemmed from that.
>>150781347Tracy's in her 40s and that's not anywhere near decrepit but considering how long this comic's been going, how long it takes her to draw even one page and the pace at which the story is being told I'm not surprised she decided to switch to animating it. She does plan on finishing the comic but if Lackadaisy takes off and becomes a big IP I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't.
>>150781959I would assume at this point she would just release whole books when they are ready instead of just on her site so I would think that if she is still drawing it that she is going to release it at the end of the series release which would make it likely be very successful.
>>150763838Jesus, that song is a real ear worm. I hope there will be a longer version at some point.

they're really doing a jar jar comic?
Prequel reappraisal was a Disney astroturf
>>150782618Reminder that canon Jar Jar dies homeless and despised
>>150782618Now compare this to the pre-Disney EU, the one Prequel kids love SOOOO much.

So just started watching Invincible and am really enjoying it. I decided to skim the comics a bit and wow, it's really different (at least at the start). I actually think I drastically prefer the pacing of the show compared to the comics. But I hear the comics improve later down the line more. Either way glad I finally gave this show a go, don't usually watch superhero stuff.

Why was this show even made?>too juvenile for adults>too sexy and mature for kidsI remember watching it as a kid and feeling weird seeing the big boobed lady
>>150781958/co/ is full of fat fags. even when there are characters who aren't fat as fuck, they'll post pics where the artist made them fat as fuck, and then other idiots will still request that she be made even fatter. My theory is that they're not getting laid, so their standards drop because they think fat chicks will be easier due to low self-esteem.
>>150782007Any of them, really. Basically just cut the show down to her. She should he louder, sexier, and have access to a time machine, because whenever Six was not on screen the viewer was asking "where is Six?"
>>150782007Wait Carmen Electra voiced her?
>>150782007You know, for a character that is from a raunchy cartoon who is voiced by Jenny McFarthy, it surprises me that Six never did anything foul or disgusting.
>>150782030>My theory is that they're not getting laid, so their standards drop because they think fat chicks will be easier due to low self-esteem.A tad bit incorrect. Not getting laid enters this as an additional factor of developing imagination, but the fatfaggotry itself usually stems from early experiences, often being a part of expansion fetish in general (not always though). But being relatively (to other fetishes) close to the "normal" taste for feminine forms, curves and proportions, although somewhat exaggerated, this particular fetish is somewhat widespread. And standarts we do have, although (as certain "normal" parameters don't enter this, some are replaced and some "new" are added) those are usually not percepted by "normal" people like you.

Some of us have heard the term "Great American Novel" before, but what would you say is the Great American COMIC?I would guess either picrel or Peanuts.
>>150758289Really? I don't think Moore dislikes Batman, but in For the man who has everything, Whatever happened to the man of tomorrow and Swamp Thing Batman usually comes off as well meaning but out of his depth, which is actually a grounded depiction considering even someone with the pinnacle of current human intellect and knowledge would be out of step if they came across supernatural problems.More directly written in the short Clayface story Moore did and TKJ he comes off more put together, but still not faultless. His most flattering depiction of Batman I think was Professor Night in Supreme: Story of the Year, but that was more in line with Silver Age superheroes where everyone was just that good.
>>150758289Considering that the only two Batman stories Moore wrote focus more on his villains (Joker and Clayface) and Batman is even an antagonist in Moore’s Swamp Thing, I’m curious why you would think this.
>>150772233Yeah, it's just a shitty, cheap political strip.
>>150772233>>150781956The older years that take place in college have little to none of the political rambling the comic has now, and at the time it was one of the more realistic and grounded comics out there.

Anyone here has read Desynced? And if so, does it get good eventually? Im at page 240~ and its getting real hard to tank some of these pages
>>150781588valid points, and i agree about him wanting to thin the cast (i guess 'need' is also true since he just didn't have the skill to handle that many character interactions at once), but i'm more getting at who exactly gets murderstuck-ed. there was basically no way the troll he made to parody fans he disliked was going to survive.there is very little to her character that isn't parodying the fandom (and/or furries) besides a single moirail connection (because 'friend who will try to keep you from flying off the handle' apparently needed a whole ass alien word/relationship 'quadrant' like it was something humans never do). even the fact she lives alone in a fucking cave is just part of the "takes roleplay too far" parody.she was almost completely unmoored from any exploration of alien troll society because she was a parody of humans Hussie didn't like. the human she likes the most (and actively wanted to befriend) is Jade, probably precisely because Hussie ALSO didn't like Jade.tl;dr: if no other beta trolls died there, Nepeta still probably would've.
>>150782654 (me)>>150781588oh, and just to be clear - it may peak post cascade, but that Homestuck fandom reputation actually STARTED in earnest pre-cascade, but the same year cascade released. it took a bit longer to percolate to broader public awareness than most zeitgeists do these days, since the internet wasn't as fast in 2011 as it is now.
>Doug loses his journal>Roger is the one that found it>Returns it but makes a joke about how he can't even read it because of how shitty and illegible it wasThis guy was more based than I remembered. Roger probably could read it but just didn't give a FUCK what was in the journal. Roger could've just burned it, defaced the interior with his own notes making fun of Doug or just not even return it at all.Roger probably thought Doug was super conceited for even thinking he would.
I wonder if I should re-watch Doug after all these years.
