I did not

Humor me. I've been following the comic for years now, and wondering how much charactor favorability predicts feelings on other characters, positive and negative. I polled other places like the official Discord, Tumblr, Bluesky, and Patreon. It was a lot of what you'd expect based on the echo chambers on each website, with some interesing discrepancies. But I wanted to see how people felt here because I thought I'd get the most interesting opinions.https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdo6Opyjo4XL2ESLaSUrP7ggE_wzGfGDwj1nEFKP8X5cbCjrA/viewform?usp=dialogAbbey isn't here because I forgot to put him in the first poll I did, and I'm too lazy to fix it, lol.
>>151809833I saw on all websites that the fandom is majority 27+ which isn't surprising given that BCB started in 2006, but the Patreon and Tumblr has slightly more in the 18-22 range, and /co/ has slightly more people in the 23-26 range. You see people's opinions getting milder as they older on other websites, but here age doesn't seem to make as much of a difference in that area. Daisy is universally liked across all platforms and age ranges, but the younger crowd is more enthusiastic in their positivity towards Daisy, and you see something similar in the older age ranges but towards Lucy.
>>151807998Exactly man, the dudes in general (specially Mike) are often written in a strange manner in this comic, doing things no guy, specially a teen, would. That whole scene with Augustus was absurd. How come James IMMEDIATELY takes Lucy's and Augustus' side when he doesn't even know them? Matter of fact the only interaction he had with Lucy prior to this was her being an ass towards him, so he should have no reason to take her side... not to mention he allegedly liked Mike.>>151809112>I miss the small gestures towards that stuff because at least it gave the illusion of something more.Same. Honestly, nowadays they barely even look like friends man, it's like one minor interaction once in a blue moon, and then it turns right back again to some Mike and Lucy drama or some other crap. We barely see any of them just having genuine fun anymore. I'm sick of the constant, cheap drama all the time.>she just doesn't capitalize on themAgreed, this comic had plenty of opportunities to handle the stuff in wants to handle, but it insists on just doing the same thing over and over again. It's frustrating how much potential it has, but it rarely ever delivers.
>>151810662Obnoxious author who has no intention of ending the story anytime soon, and if she does it will be all the worse for it.A lot of people like just being angry here, others find being able to connect her irl stories to her self insert humorous.Basically, at best you're wasting an entire day reading the comic, at worst you're here forever.Does Taeshi qualify for a kiwifarms page?
Is Marvel Rivals the only thing keeping Marvel as a whole afloat right now? A good chunk of their comic sales are low, getting dominated by DC currently, the MCU is on life support, and neither is looking to improve. Even ignoring the basic fapbait fanservice, the game is doing fun shit with the material in the season lore, and nearly every character is given due respect thanks to devs actually doing their homework. So my question is what can Marvel Comics learn from Rivals to bounce back, and what characters could be completely revitalized through the game?
They're making Galacta canon finally, so it's a first step.
I'm going to be honest. I've never touched a Marvel comic until after I started playing Marvel Rivals. All because I wanted to learn more about the characters.
Merry christmas, /co/!
Give her oni like carrot horns.

ITT we envision an Amalgam universe made of worlds other than the primary big 2 universes Like Incredibles, Watchmen, Venture Bros, The Tick, The Boys, Megamind, Dispatch etc
>>151812019>Mark Millar's WAKFU
>>151812019What you are suggesting sounds to me like a world that’s in a state of active decay. A world that starts off bright and hopeful with a Golden Age composed of the Incredibles supers, Jonas Venture, Mecha Man Prime, and original heroes of Watchmen only for it to fall. It sounds like a world where the banning of superheroes caused by Watchmen/the Incredibles leaves a power vacuum allowing companies like SDN, Veidt, and Vought to privatize heroism leading to a mass decay in what it even means to be a hero. By the time The Incredibles and Ozy manage to unban supers, the damage will be done. The only heroes left will be the supes and the lunatics of The Tick and VB. In this kind of world, Metro Man will be like a final cruel joke. One last Golden Age hero seeming to usher in a second wave, only to die horribly. Sealing the Earth’s fate to be a world of mediocrity and corruption.
>>151812109…has it seriously been 40 years since a relatively successful non-Big Two superhero story HASN’T been this specific kind of depressing?

>>151812642marvels is dogshit
>>151812642I'll deny it. To me, it falls apart when it becomes about the X-Men. Busiek and Ross do a good job with the material, but the material itself is not actually very good or substantial. I liked the Golden Age parts, though.Astro City is better.>>151812712It's not that bad either.
>>151813248>but the material itself is not actually very good or substantialSpecifically X-Men?
What made this work as opposed to Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur, Hailey's On It!, Primos and StuGo? Hamster dosn't count beacuse they had to stop that show to focus on the Phineas revival.
>>151811553be careful anon you might end up disappointed to realize almost nobody acknowledges Kiff even if it's fun and full of life
>>151811861That's a shame, it became on of my favorite shows because they got character and pride and that's something that money can't buy.
>>151811481because it's made as a collab between DTVA and Titmouse rather than entirely in-house DTVA like those others. Kiff got lower ratings than Hailey's Floppin It
if I was Kiff's teacher I would retire her desk after graduation so that her seat would always smell like her

It seems like a bad idea to make porn of your own SFW series; it really confuses what it's about. He can say the porn is non-canon, but the works themselves don't "say" that. It makes it seem like it's a SFW comedy but also the characters are constantly fucking each other.
>>151812654Yeah, he should've posted his canon and non-canon stuff on separate websites
>>151812730 I'm with >>151812654The NSFW stuff may not be canon, and I respect WOG, but it's impossible for it not to feel canon. So much so, that when the show comes out they're gonna use elements from Baraag.

>>151811225Year One for Batman obviously
