I mostly just miss the days when writer's acknowledged that Batman is a human and weren't afraid to have to him get bodied but someone now and then. He gets the shit beat out of him in the belltower in Batman '89, plenty of eps in the DCAU where he gets his clock cleaned, he was Dracula's bitchboy every time they fought in The Batman Vs. Dracula. Even Nolan Batman wasn't invincible. Nowadays he's the most OP non superpowered character you can think of. Popularity is truly the best power, yeah?

Anyone else find the single green squeeze toy alien from the first Toy Story to be an interesting character? On top of the fact that it was dark as fuck to see this innocent, naive toy who suffered delusions of grandeur much like Buzz only to have his faith and body destroyed in much more graphic detail than the space ranger did, my theory is that that there is an alternate timeline where he did, in fact, make it out of Sid's house to join Woody and Buzz.>But his role was to be a red shirt to show off how much of a threat Scud was!>But he would have been an awkward third wheel who would have gotten in the way of Woody and Buzz's development.For the first argument, there is no reason he couldn't serve that role while also becoming a main character.
