Dude this shit makes me so pumped. It's so motivating. I always put this on when I'm feeling down and it never fails to pick me right back up. God bless you, Danny Elfman. https://youtu.be/x-qgkHhCA6Y
>>152106436i cant even be angry at that reply, youre right. then again i only subjected myself to daredevils disney series so maybe im totally lying and she hulk is like one the best marvel shows ever made!!!!! XDD
>>152106353Danny Elfman doesn’t get nearly enough credit for his superhero scores. He basically remade the way music was made for Spider-Man and Batman media forever with his themes. Especially Batman.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoaU3kRFvLg

This opening is absolutely goated for how flawlessly it shows off and explains it's main protagonists in such a short time. Just from this intro we know everything we need to know about these idiots. Is there a more perfect cartoon intro?
>>152108695There's a difference though. Although the EEnE intro music is catchy, everything about the characters is shown through exposition. Courage literally just explains the premise of the show. It's not like it has a catchy tune or like anything is shown through the animation itself.
>>152108711>exposition*animation, i'm a retard
>>152108711Well yeah, OP wasn't asking for best theme songs. EEnE was a cartoon that valued animation and sound so the intro reflected that perfectly while establishing who the protagonists are without needing dialogue. CtCD was more or less a throwback to old horror/B-movie serials and horror shows like Twilight Zone, so a '50s-style expository intro commonly associated with those types fit the show perfectly.
>>152107001I always think back to this analysis from Comics Alliance regarding the Batman TAS intro in terms of how well it does explain everything in a stylish, immersive way.https://comicsalliance.com/ask-chris-78-why-the-batman-the-animated-series-opening-is/This part in particular:>But think about it. We know there's a car, right? And presumably we're familiar enough with cars to know that people drive them to get from one place to the next. We know this because we have cars -- normal people, like you and me. So why show us that this guy has car? Why does Batman even have a car to begin with? Because he needs one.>Whoever this person is, he can't fly. He can't run at the speed of light. If he could, he wouldn't bother with a car, no matter how sweet it might be.

>this first date reminds me of how much I miss my ex
>>152108739It doesn't add nuance, but it's funny to point out that Jess is a date rapist. >>152108782I still think Jessica's backstory is suspicious as hell. We only have her word that she didn't actually do anything with that guy she tried to seduce for info, or that Paulo was her first time. The entire "what Tess did" flashback was told by Jessica. Meanwhile the club bouncer knows Jess by name and face, so she's been there frequently before. Jessica's immediate post-coital reaction is "was that it?", and she expresses no shame or regret until Lucy (her crush) judges her for it. And thanks to her play we know Jessica is a shameless liar who sees the world through an entirely self-centered lens.
>>152108782>The weaker gender forced herself onto Paulolol ok mr man

>>152101760Every time I look at that tumblr blog response she made, it just comes off as cracks starting to form in her narrative and more and more people are noticing it now. She's trying so damn hard to make it look like only Mike is at fault that it's making her mistakes and retcons even more obvious than usual.
>>152101760>The tumblr blog response.BCB is really just a comic about how not only is rejecting your physical and verbal abuser a bad thing, but also how wanting a solid, good friendship where the other person wont abandon you at the drop of a hat is bad too.I'm still floored she's surprised people hated James for the bullshit he pulled
Scooby Doo is a long franchise created by Hanna-Barbera in the 1960's, and it’s wild to think how many different forms it’s taken over the decades. From the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! with its classic monster-of-the-week formula, to the more comedic takes like A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, and even the darker, more serialized Mystery Incorporated, the gang has been reimagined countless times. We’ve had direct-to-video movies like Zombie Island and Witch’s Ghost that pushed the franchise into more supernatural territory, live-action adaptations in the early 2000s, and even crossover specials with Batman, WWE, and more. Each era has its own flavor, whether it’s campy, spooky, or tongue-in-cheek.So, /co/, what’s your favorite Scooby-Doo Character and which guest character suited the gang best?Previous Thread: >>151937486Scooby-Dooby-Doo!

Has anyone here read Wagner's Madame Xanadu? I'm thinking of checking it out.
In Xanadu did Kubla Khan, a stately pleasure-dome decree. Where Alph, the sacred river, ran, through caverns measureless to man.
>>152108083Looked it up just now and it seems great. I'm sad DC never gave it a better collection, like an omnibus or DC Finest
