Why do people pretend that The Batman wasn't terrible?
96 replies and 15 images omitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>152094243
it wasnt terrible but from the concept alone it just wasnt a original take with its own personality
>what if Batman BUT REALISTIC
>''didnt we already have a entire trilogy of Nolan movies that did this?''
>NO MINE IS MORE REALISTIC AND EDGIER
Batman in its essence is a mythological character where the absurd and supernatural just is part of its DNA, Nolans take was fine but Hollywood wants to pretend its the only relevant take
>>
>>152094243
It's alright, I don't like how long it is, but I like a lot of the scenes and the central themes.
I unironically prefer it as a Batman adaptation compared to the others, mainly Nolan's. Enjoyable movies, but what the fuck was that Chicago ass Gotham, Ra's being Liam Neeson, jonkler and two face were ok, but I don't give a fuck about Rachel, dear fucking christ, and lastly Bane...
>>
>>152094243
Because the genderswapped art it generated was hot.
>>
>>152094243
its too long

could have been a 9/10, instead it fucking refuses to end and becomes a 6/10 at best

cut 60 min from that movie and it gets 2x better
>>
This movie feels like something that will not have staying power and people will turn on it in the next decade after reevaluation.

I always wonder who gets the job of sitting at some computer deciding what episodes to air and when on a network that nobody watches.
>>
>>152104751
... WHY????
>>
What do they even air on there now?
>>
>>152108534
There is a programming director for channels who chooses what to air for a particular day
For modern channels especially a low level channel like Boomerang that human aspect does not exist and they are far more automated. They just get told certain show airs at this timeslot by execs and set up the automation to do everything. They just have 1/2 people check to make sure the computer doing everything does not fail

I LIVE... AGAIN...

Did Al anything nasty to Jessie before she escaped from his cheeto-dust covered fingers? I can only imagine the abuse she suffered.
>>
>>152110351
Look, I get what you're trying to do and normally I would sympathize, since I am also a coomer. But come on, you know Al didn't do a damn thing to Jesse. Why would he? She needed to be in as good a condition as possible, no amount of misplaced doll fetishes would make him risk what was implied to be an extremely hefty payout.

To be fair, I doubt Dale would believe it
>>
>>152109129
Everyone's afraid of what Dale's gonna do, that's why they never tell him
He could hurt Nancy, he could hurt John Redcorn, he would most likely only hurt himself. The risks are too great
>>
>>152110420
After a certain point in the show I actually get the feeling Dale would almost shut down from how hurt he was. More disheveled and depressed rather than going on a shooting rampage or something
>>
>>152101813
Neither is great, but ultimately all John did was fuck a willing woman. He even tried to be involved in his son's life. Nancy knowingly fucked another man while denying her own husband sex, had him raise another man's son, and just generally treated everyone pretty poorly. It's one of those things where if Dale found out everything and killed her, and you were on the jury and really got the full breadth and depth of what she did, you'd have to shrug and say "yeah, I get it"
>>
>>152110433
Considering the kind of depressed wreck he was from being embarrassed at the gun club, this honestly seems more likely. It's probably for the best that his friends never told him the truth, considering how bad they are at actually helping each other at their lowest moments.

Amazing Digital Circus will have a happy ending, Funny Bunny is canonical, Glitch will never have this level of success again and will release new shortform TADC content every few months to keep making new merch for the next decade

What is he filming?

Scooby Doo is a long franchise created by Hanna-Barbera in the 1960's, and it’s wild to think how many different forms it’s taken over the decades. From the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! with its classic monster-of-the-week formula, to the more comedic takes like A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, and even the darker, more serialized Mystery Incorporated, the gang has been reimagined countless times.

We’ve had direct-to-video movies like Zombie Island and Witch’s Ghost that pushed the franchise into more supernatural territory, live-action adaptations in the early 2000s, and even crossover specials with Batman, WWE, and more. Each era has its own flavor, whether it’s campy, spooky, or tongue-in-cheek.

So, /co/, what’s your favorite Scooby-Doo Character and which guest character suited the gang best?

I'm still surprised Scooby-Doo hasn't crossed over with Tom and Jerry.

I wanna say that'd make no sense but then I realisee that "making sense" was never a thing with scooby doo crossovers anyways

This is great, feels like something Bill would be cruel enough to do
in a thousand years Dipper will be nothing more then another immortal chaos demon, cheerfully chanting to Bill’s destruction, her original identity long forgotten. The only remnant of her original personality being her curiosity, now warped and expanded to make her an entity akin to the Cheshire Cat or the Arm of Twin Peaks

it had an interesting concept but it feels like the whole fucking thing was written in 3 days with no oversight. It dragged on and on and on and on and things kept happening that made no sense, there was was absolutely no arc to the story and most of what happened was really convoluted

if they'dve just done,
> dad tells daughter a bedtime story after she's scared of the dark
> makes up story about a boy who actually befriends the embodiment of the dark
> the aspects the real world or whatever seek to vanquish them to benevolently rid the world of nightmares or fears
> goes on quest to get the other aspects of the dream world to like him again
> as we find out he used to be their leader, as the most important aspect, but being hated/feared so much destroyed his confidence
> some bullshit about not letting what others think of you bother you, because you never know how valuable you really are to someone else you might never meet
> the sun is taught a lesson about how important dreaming is or whatever and finally gives in allowing everyone to dream again

> little girl finally falls asleep
> dad says "hey, thanks guys"
> the aspects emerge: they were real all along and he was the boy from the story that brought them together

The meta aspect completely ruined this. Why should I care when nothing in it actually happened to the characters?

You've always got to end this type of thing like Mickey and the Beanstalk or Big Fish where you find out the 'obvious lies' happened to some degree.

he had the best character design of the entire movie. His voice fit well too. Quiet is easily the worst of the bunch despite having the cutest design
