A lot of their conflict comes from Ben being a selfish boy and Gwen a disciplined girl. Ben hates to submit to Gwen even when she's objectively right and in charge for a reason and Gwen is rightfully annoyed at Ben's selfishness when he ruins it for the both of them despite her being on her best behaviour. Whereas a female Ben would be much more likely to submit to her mature, martial-artist male cousin, which would already cause less friction, but "Glen" would also be a lot quicker to forgive "Jen" for misbehaving because she's "just a silly girl who doesn't know better" and because he would feel responsible for keeping her safe as the strong responsible boy. There would be a lot less if any direct confrontation between them. "Jen" would misbehave by leveraging her cuteness to incredibly bluntly manipulate both "Glen" and Max (doesn't have the brains for proper intrigue) and would make them worry rather than be angry whenever she runs off on her own, seen more as airheaded than troublemaker behavior by the males. If male Gwen would tease girl Ben, it would be more because he can't help himself around the silly, cute, excitable girl, rather than getting back at her. And female Ben would probably run straight to Max if she ever perceives being bullied by Gwen. Because if "Jen" tried teasing "Glen" back, she would end up more embarrassed (Ben's banter was always garbage-tier and I doubt female Ben would dare to alien prank male Gwen because of a very real possibility of a spanking when she turns back).

The main detail here is that we are told at least a few of them were beyond saving, some were blown to smithereens and now they brush it aside. The biggest offenses so far are:-Jetfire: Who we're told is beyond saving and would need divine intervention from the Matrix to save him (hell, repairing him left him in a horrible state). Had he came back via mystical means, I'd be ok with that, but Telettan just repairs him like it's no big deal.-Kup: Because not only is he shot to pieces and we see his head ripped apart, we get another issue to drive the point that he's dead... but suddenly the Cybertronian Autobots (who can barely support themselves with their pathetic energy reserves) have him hooked up to life support and fixed some of his damage? Really?-Huffer: Same as Kup, but he straight up exploded.I don't mind them coming back, but it just feels like an asspull.
I'm enjoying Fraction's run so far, more than I have recently. Zdarsky was pretty much forgettable and at the mercy of Absolute Power because of Failsafe, King was terrible (nothing new there). I thought Tynion was fine but it was very clear that he was making characters because editorial kept shooting down his scripts, which I think he even mentioned in an interview once. Going further back to Scott Snyder, I feel like Court of Owls was the only thing he had going for him. Death of The Family was kinda dumb, and no one cared for Signal nor Bat-Gordon. Although he seems to have done a lot better with Absolute Batman lately.What do you think of Dr. Zeller, The Minotaur, and The Ojo? Do you think we'll finally get a normal Joker story for a change that isn't world /city ending and just fun? I'd like to see more of Punchline at least.
