I feel like the 9th episode was intended to be the season ender. It's hard to say exactly, as the Abaddon Cult episode has strong season ender pacing as well. But I think this Demon Snow globe episode has the altered pacing that usually goes along with a season ender. Plus all the resolution stuff with the MCs.
Why don't writers know what to even do with her anymore? For quite some years she's basically just been 'woman' and portrayed as being over her head with everything going on.
