Disgraced former X-Men ’97 showrunner Beau DeMayo demands credit for making Cyclops popular enough to get a major role in Avengers: Doomsday.
>>151962961the stats dont lie, he literally didn't use cyclops as much as storm, despite the latter being the supposed "main character". taking claremounts commentary at face value after the many conflicting stories he's told about the shooter days is foolish>>151962877for a supposed "loner", logan has been the focal point of conversations in the xmen
>>151963897>the stats dont lieThe stats cover 182 issues, and 100 of those happened after Cyclops got married and moved to Alaska in #175/6. He made a few return appearances from 197-201 and then got his ass kicked by Storm who told him to go back to Alaska with his wife. And that was the end of Claremont's usage of Scott Summers aside from a handful of forced crossovers thanks to X-Factor.
>>151964168...So you concede that:>Because it's been like that from the start of X-MenIs wrong and that Cyclops wasn't the main character until morrison fuckery happened? Thanks. Not a coincidence cykes was only the main guy prior to and after claremount, both of which weren't THE big era for x men.
>>151958906>you're not actually reading the books. Why the hell are you still reading the books? Is this some kind of masochism thing?>>151961416>Because it's been like that from the start of X-Men, with some exceptions. No, it was an ensemble cast team book. There wasn't a "main character". The deputy leader guy was not "the main character".>LmaoWhy do you still talk like this?>tell how much better the comics became since then. They were bad then, they were bad after, and they're bad now. Nobody should still be reading X-Men, it's been on a downward spiral for 25 years or more.
>>151959065He did a lot of interviews back in the day. I was able to find some of the text, but I can't for the life of me remember where it was first published.>Cyclops was definitely my favorite character. He was like me, a young guy who was kind of tall with dark hair and felt a bit shy. Girls liked me, but I didn’t know how to deal with them. So I felt the Cyclops character really understood the kind of neurotic boy that lives inside me. I saw a lot of depth in him. I was always surprised when people said that cyclops had no character, that he was just a Boy Scout, the team leader. I always thought that he was a much more complex character. He was one of those people who had a lot going on the surface, but didn’t talk about it too much. That was very interesting to me. You never got to see what Cyclops was thinking even though Claremont did a lot of thought balloons.>It was obvious that Cyclops was repressed, that he held everything back, like the visor that was holding back his energy. I was going to see what would happen if Cyclops let everything loose.>I think they’re all facets of my own personality. Scott’s the version of me when I was 17 years old and I walked around town looking at my shoes. Emma Frost is me at a party when I’m witty and crude and funny. Jean was a very levelheaded, but a slightly kooky, Off center person. Hank is like the big guy who comes to comic book conventions, who is very smart, but feels trapped in his own body, the characters are either someone I know or someone I’ve met.
How do the Powerpuff Girls manage to work together? Obviously they have to look at each other, so how do they not get overwhelmed by each other's cuteness? Is one of their superpowers altering their eyes so cute things appear ugly? Because that's the only thing that would explain it.
They each believe to be the cutest of the trio, of course they wouldn't fall for each other.
>>151965046>Obviously they have to look at each other, so how do they not get overwhelmed by each other's cutenessBubbles is the definition of cuteness. She would be immune to her sisters.Blossom is too mentally tough to let that get in the way of the missionButtercup is too busy cracking skulls to notice.
Anyone remember this show?

>>151964828>>151964846We have had storytimes about the prequel comic that delves a little more into her personality and inner thoughts. Also the comic strip adaption of the movie shows her personality a lot more.
>>151964828they really had no idea yet how they wanted to do a theatrical animated movie. such a thing had never been done. >>151932101Her neck is too thin
>>151962079The name Baron von Rotten is fucking amazing, so I’ll allow it, but yeah, that comic is a bit screwy with his backstory. His true form there confuses me because his colors are all wrong! After he gets dipped in the movie, we can see that he was primarily yellow in color. I do find it funny how his Toon form is basically just a cartoon version of his human look, though. My own headcanon for how Judge Doom looks is pic related.
>>151962657They know their audience
I am glad there is no prequel or sequel to Roger Rabbit
>>151965188I think the two proposed prequels (Who Discovered Roger Rabbit and Toon Platoon) were pretty good, at least from the scripts floating around, but only if one were made in the 90s. I have ZERO faith in them making a Roger Rabbit film now.
