Did Marvel give up on the censored skull icon already?
>>152120569Did you really think they were going to retire Frank or the skull? It's the same thing with Speedy Gonzalez. Don't use the character until attention goes to something else and bring him back like nothing happened. Companies do this shit all the time.
>>152122862What has Speedy been in lately?
>>152122322How so?
>>152123116Bugs Bunny BuildersIt's funny cause the staff in the previous seasons kept taking podshots at the censors ("We can't use Pepe so instead we'll have three random French Skunks show up in our Christmas episode cause fuck the censors"). Yes, the pre-school show was more pro-freedom than the LT and TT reboots.
RED BAND RIP IS OUT FAGGOTSSTORYTIME IT!they went all in with frank
This show was huge in 1999 and had tons of merchandise and it was basically Nick's biggest Nicktoon behind Rugrats, but in 2000, the show was cancelled after 68 episodes. Meanwhile, Wild Thornberrys (which premiered the same year) was renewed up to 84 episodes (later getting 7 more, making it 91 total) and got a theatrical movie. CatDog fell from popularity dramatically in 2000 with how Nick didn't renew it for more episodes
>>152120050>>152120130>>152120242The story goes that the animators were showing off CatDog and SpongeBob to an exec at the same meeting. The animators were real excited for SpongeBob, not so much for CatDog, and their hearts sank when the exec was the complete opposite thinking CatDog would be a gigantic success. He instantly ordered a bunch of episodes and barely gave a fuck about SpongeBob.Seems like it was less a case of CatDog having genuine support from viewers and more of Nick being convinced it would be their next big hit so they pushed it hardcore.>Nickelodeon initiated a $20 million promotional campaign for the series' first season in 1999 with partners Burger King, Duracell, Jell-O, and Nabisco.[13] Burger King, which had promoted Nickelodeon's The Rugrats Movie with toys the previous year, offered CatDog-themed toys in its kids meals for five weeks beginning February 22, 1999.[13] Nickelodeon promoted a trip to Universal Studios Florida as a prize in an on-air sweepstakes sponsored by Burger King and Mattel, which also released a line of CatDog toys that year.[13] Duracell held a back-to-school-themed backpack offer as well as a "Catch CatDog" sweepstakes on television and radio during the holiday season.[13] Jell-O packaged CatDog stickers in its Jell-O Yogurt kids packs.[13] Nabisco marketed limited edition CatDog Cheese Nips flavors, which featured instant-win contest prizes that included a trip to Los Angeles to meet and have their likeness drawn by creator of CatDog.[13]
>>152119995it's called a marketing blitz.and it failed because catdog fucking sucks.NOBODY likes catdog.

>Meet Marty and Alexis, two very different people that are forced to be together when they mysteriously gain super powers that only work when they are together! This fun, all ages comic is brought to you by former Disney animator Tom Bancroft.
>>152078040>2.99 USDOkay, there were go. That's a 2005 price.
>>152078511I remember sarcasm Slim. Miss it a lot, actually.
>>152115914Yeah, never said it was a good choice, just that it was foreshadowed. Honestly I feel like that might have been the reason it was never picked up, Captain Dynamo's B-plot's just kind of sad to follow. It probably would've been changed to something closer to your idea if it did get a series.
>>152122961That's actually normal. Twins tend to have twins.
Art's good. Writing not so much.
Does anyone know what this is from?
>>152121010I may be wrong, but I feel like this is from a commercial.
>>152123608Maybe! Can't imagine what it'd be for, maybe a dating or phone service? There were lots of those in the 90s/early 00s, and this looks analog enough to be from that time period.
I am interested also in case anyone finds out.
>>152121004Oh this style is fantastic. Bumping thread.Looks british to me
>>152121004>>152121010No clue, but this does look closer to a commercial if anything. Looks really nice, though.

NERDS!
I await the jocks character sheet
>>152121086>>152121109But are they nerds or geeks?
>>152123209Freaks.
I find it odd yet funny that the Nerds are the children of politicians, while the Elites are the children of mobsters and are Italian. But then again, considering everything about Muskrat and how that two-faced liar is so desperate to be a cool techbro while ruining everything, it makes sense.
>>152121228Nerd Skyla?
i really like this show and cannot wait for season 2
>>152122799Same, it is a very enjoyable programme
>>152122799Everyone that doesn't like this show doesn't watch Sick Animation and for that their opinions are worthless. I've come to fully enjoy how the show is "ugly" because it makes those same people have to look at shit like this for extended periods of time.
>>152123489i love it whenever they do close up shots of the facesAI could never replicate something like this
>>152123544Watching the show with my friends who aren't as into stupid YouTube animations as me made me realize just how funny all of those shots are, because they always go on just a little bit too long. The characters doing a stupid motion and then doing it again, the therapist's laugh that was needlessly rotoscoped and then recycled 40 seconds later, it's all so good. This show filtered people so fucking hard, I love it.
Let’s hope Jeff can quit it with the martinis by then, right guys?
Yeah, he is awful. He is a glowie and probably a war criminal. And what he has done to many characters and is currently doing to wonder woman is horrible. But i'm still curious, has this man been able to produce at least one (1[uno]) good comic? Some say The Visions is still passable because it came first before his formula got stale, others also praise his Mister Miracle, but i disagree hard on that one. What do you anons think is his best work?
>>152123830>just petsWhen your dog dies it's more upsetting than the deaths of most humans. Most people have a closer emotional bond with their dog than with any but the closest human family members.
>>152123830Big words on the board that mourns fictional character deaths and fictional character break ups.
Tom King has always been a hack. He writes plebbit-bait sloppa (cable soap operas) and retards eat it up. His action scenes are dogshit, his paneling is atrocious, and his characters are weak. Batman and Spider Man have been blessed with some of the most untalented writers over the past decade. It's crazy how people will buy that slop blindly.
>>152124390Batman has done well as far as superheroes goes. For Spider-man... yeah, it's bad even by Spider-man standards.
>>152124390>>152124537>Tom King Spider-ManHow bad could it be? Does anybody have some pages?
There was never a "Pixar decline", because it was always a bad company, or mediocre in the best case scenario.

>>152122968>You can just say that film didn't interest you personallyNah, the film itself is objectively bad.
>>152124497Nope, you are just a bitter faggot
>>152124519Maybe you're just delusional. Ratatouille is one of the worst Pixar films. Even Bird seems to acknowledge that he sorta missed the mark with Ratatouille, since he hasn't directed more original animation films since. Even if you like the film, it's hard to deny that it's easily Bird's weakest animation screenplay. It's not nearly as tight or well written as Iron Giant and Incredibles' screenplays. Lots of awkward interactions and not particularly funny jokes.

>"It’s so interesting, because the Marvel machine had so much chatter around it," DaCosta recalled. "But when I look back on it, everyone tried their best. Everyone was trying to make a great film, and I will say I’m really happy to have those relationships.">"I was just visiting the Avengers set last summer, which was really fun, catching up with the producers, seeing the Russos, and some of my friends were in the movie," she continued. "So it was really nice, despite how everything went with the box office and the reviews, knowing that the relationships are so good.">"I look back and everyone tried their best and everyone was trying to do the right thing, and it is what it is," DaCosta concluded.https://deadline.com/2026/01/28-years-later-bone-temple-nia-dacosta-interview-1236681261/
>>152119986Hate may be a bit too strong of a word, but they definitely feel like they are above the material. The vibe is that they are the artistes and only they can reinterpret the rubbish kiddo source into something both modern audiences and critics can enjoy. This vibe is real.
