Before the comic database went down, I actually went down the rabbit hole of trying to establish what was and what was not canon from the post-COIE Batman-related books. I didn't even make it to the end of year 1 before encountering severe issues. Namely, Two-Face and Scarecrow. Scarecrow's origin story is supposed to happen before The Long Halloween and before Robin joins the team, because he's a known bad guy by then and Robin hasn't shown up yet. The Long Halloween serves as the origin story for Two-Face. But out of the three origin stories for Scarecrow that exist in post-COIE Batman books, only one doesn't have Robin already on the team, and in that issue Two-Face is already in prison.I still managed to piece together something resembling a canon history post-COIE up until about year three, but it's still a giant mess full of plot holes and shifting timelines.
