Anyone a fan of those old serialized Nintendo Power comics? The Mario one is very funny, the Star Fox one is shockingly good and the ending to the Zelda comic is the first thing I ever remember reading that produced melancholy feels in me. Also feel free to discuss Nester
>>151926452...which you will never be.
fuck nintendies
>>151913355>Anyone a fan of those old serialized Nintendo Power comics? They were fun to read at the time, especially since I wasn't able to pick up comic books and so these were basically the only comics I had access to. I remember Mario, Zelda, Star Fox, and Metroid. I honestly forgot F-Zero if it ever was in Nintendo Power, and have no clue where >>151917434 is from. That said, I don't think I'm interested in going back and reading them outside just trying to remember what they even were about. They're fun for some 10-year-old kid who is a big fan of Nintendo. But they're not exactly that interesting to anyone who has read more than a handful of comics. The Legend of Zelda has a series of actual manga for each game, and Mega Man has had several different comic/manga adaptions, so if you really want comics based on classic Nintendo games there's a few, far better options.
>>151924093>In the case of Mario, it was the Max Headroom guys who were looking to break away from commercialsThat would explain why Koopa looked so much like Max himself.
>>151913355This was the only good Zelda manga.
Reminder, Princess Bubblegum did nothing wrong, and the only people who disagree morons who need immediate reeducation. It’s not her fault that everyone else is objectively wrong and that you can’t keep a girlboss down.

>Anons haven't heard of double-paned windows or ACGrim. What do you think those things at the foot of his bed are for? Clearly AC vents. Only thing Arnold has to worry about his hail, which would be pretty rare at large enough sizes to damage his windows in the PNW where the show takes place.
Anyone else completely dislike Peter Parker as a character? I grew up with Spider-Man everywhere, but by some quirk of fate I got into Miguel at the same time (I came across a random toy). So while I grew up and more and more saw Parker as an immature manchild, I had another Spider-Man to truly enjoy. And to me, Parker's just not Spider-Man in any way. I'm also an unironic Superiorfag and I'll fight anyone at any time over it. Kaine's also the best clone. It's completely stupid to me to have all this great setup and end up with basically a soap opera starring a fag. And it's also because of that that I genuinely think JMS' mythos was a great addition. It just would've worked better without Fagger Parker as the MC. Spider-Man is a great concept and 11/10 suit/aesthetic stuck on one of the stupidest and faggiest MCs of all time.
>>151932418It needs to make Paul the new Spider-Man. People love him already and would embrace him wholeheartedly and Aunt May would take him over Peter in a second. She absolutely loves him like a son that she never had
>>151932418>I'm also an unironic SuperiorfagThat explains a lot.
>Already released>Not actual discussion within the cartoon youtubers and twitterWhat happen? i thought people liked Sugar, Ward, McHale and Jones-Quartey
>>151930711I would understand this if cartoons had pretty good writing but it's just so... unimpressive. Like it's not particularly bad but if the writing in most cartoons were used in any other medium it would be written of as mediocre to bad writing. Honestly it's the character design that attracts people to cartoons most of the time.
>>151928022>SugarMeh. Decent boarder and idea person but her shtick is long past worn out. I'm tired of gay little ukelele songs, learn a real fucking instrument.>PenCrazy weirdo that lucked out hard, zero talent, Midnight Gospel was offensive tripe.>McHaleHe's ok>JQLove him but this seems pretty unrelated to his projects There is no reason I would think this is worth watching.
>>151931903Most on the people into cartoons also don't have much experience with other mediums outside of fanfiction and fanfiction derived content, and so their standards for a good story are very uninspired and limited. When all you have experienced is a dull grey world, even the slightest bit of dogshit brown can be novel and exciting. But you do have a point about character designs. One of the most in my opinion insidious but effective exploits modern cartoons do is give the audience an appealing character design and enough of a character and motivation before giving nothing for months to let said audience do all the heavy lifting in regards to forming attachment by having them write their own version of the via headcanon.People are creative, but using your fanbases creativity as a crutch for ones lack of proper release pacing or work ethic rubs me the wrong way.
>>151928022>i thought people liked Sugar, Ward, McHale and Jones-QuarteyMost people here recognize them for being (at least partially) responsible for the prevalence of the worst trends in the animation industry from the 10s on.In any case, it feels like only McHale took the project seriously. Ward was decent setup, but felt phoned in an. Sugar and Quartey's short was entirely masturbatory navelgazing about her career. McHale managed to tell an entire story on his own and cap everything off in a satisfying manner. It was an interesting experiment, but it was still very much an experiment.>>151932031>One of the most in my opinion insidious but effective exploits modern cartoons do is give the audience an appealing character design and enough of a character and motivation before giving nothing for months to let said audience do all the heavy lifting in regards to forming attachment by having them write their own version of the via headcanon. That's more of an issue with indie animation than the medium as a whole, but you're absolutely right.

>>151931509Yeah, but Charlie is the protagonist yet the writers literally had to write around her to include her somehow into the season. I'm ok with leaving the fighting to the token evil teammate or the almost-all-powerful daddy, but have Charlie do some protagonist shit. Come up with working plans, organise stuff, inspire your friends, hell, interact with your friends at least. She didn't give a shit Angel left, was annoyed by Alastor getting kidnapped because it meant more job for her, the best thing she could come up with when Husk left was "the bar needs you", she didn't even care enough to learn the name of the one new guest who stayed. Just remove her from the show at this point, she's a waste of runtime

>>151931900This was a strange movie

>>151932277That actually makes alot of sense. Alot of things i was worried about i accurately predicted and sometimes i feel like i have future vision so im very afraid of my own future because of this
I am currently in my third year of collage and I feel like I haven't made any progress at all, and I am really struggling to find a new Extracurricular activity since AI is basically fucking up any type of plans I had as an artist and I have a feeling that they are winning. And nobody in my family is supportive of my career as an artist anymore and just want me to bend the knee and use AI for everything I do. I never had any alternative plans for something like this, I am terrified of change and nowhere else to go. I feel like I am just gonna live with my parents forever and knowing that gives me eternal dread. I haven't even picked up a pencil in months and all I do is just play videogames, watch cartoons and wagecuck now. I feel like there is no future for me and all because I only took a single path and never had a backup.
>>151920894Yeah. Physically things are going well, I've got a home, I'm working out. Financially I'm stable, just gotta clear this mortgage. Socially I'm starved. I have no friends of my own. No relationship, and I'm steady for now, but I can see the writing (and splatter) on the walls here if nothing changes soon. I'm not out of hope yet, but I've got to learn how to talk to people, and go out more I guess.
