They're good if you just want a select story, say Watchmen, All Star Superman, Hush etc but if you're looking to actually collect runs they're less than ideal. This is part of what I like about Epics and Finest books. They collect actual runs. I feel like any time anyone asks how to get into a series they're giving some elseworld, some mini and it may be good but it ends with them back were they started asking how to actually get into the character.

But I hope they stick with it an end up covering the major runs of the major characters. DC always worries me with how flaky they are, and I simply cannot believe they haven't bungled the uniform spine designs yet.

i loved this silly retrofuturist space show about dogs trying to find a new planet for humanity but the main character is an absolute fuckup who always makes things worse.also, the purple husky who turns into an evil human-hating bitch is kinda hot. i'm one of the good ones, i promise!sadly, the show was never renewed for a new season despite leaving on a cliffhanger about the cats. it was never officially cancelled either, just left to rot at the bottom of the netflix barrel until memoryholed.the show deserved better.
