>Captain Amazing, hero of Metro City, is so busy catching criminals that he rarely has time for his pets at home. He doesn't even notice when they develop superpowers of their own. when he announces that he needs a sidekick, his dog, hamster, and chameleon each decide to audition. But with each pet determined to win the sidekick position, the biggest battle in Metro City might just be at the Captain's house.
Good morning, grandpa. It is unseasonably warm outside, so forgive me if I don't stay while you read the paper.Hmm? Yes, I'll stay for the comics. Duh.
Have a good Sunday and week everybody!

>mediocre product>infuriating development behind the scenesAny other obvious cases of this? I'm not talking total disasters that were bad in terms of both development and the final release. Moreso those shows or movies that are simply just lacking on the surface, but get worse when you look into how little care went into how they were made.

>>152084492Shame it just devolves into a rambo rip off from this point on. I wanted to see more self discovery and survivalist stuff from Ollie. Rather than just mindlessly shooting BUT NOT KILLING bad guys with arrows.
I was at a con panel Diggle was at - he was really proud of this one, and honoured that they gave him the chance to do something with the "Year One" branding.
Bump

>>152084840I like it for being different. It works best with the movie because Movie Scott is different from the Scott of the books. Books Scott is a malicious fool, while Movie Scott is more of a naive fool, hell, Movie Envy seemingly hates him, but Scott there says that the relationship falling apart was more on her, and she doesn't really argue against that. Scott is the guy going through all the character development, not so much Ramona, she's got a bit, but not nearly as much as he does. She leaves with the idea that she should work on herself seeing as she had 7 Evil Ex's, maybe a relationship wasn't what she needed at the moment, while Scott goes with Knives, knowing to treat her better and to actually try and make it work.
>>152086510Reading your comment made me think that a Scott Pilgrim visual novel wouldn't be that bad of an idea. A graphic novel that has the protagonist make choices that can deviate into different routes and endings (and pairings, wouldn't be that out of place in a SP-adjacent IP considering the beat em up has multiple endings with pairings already). The anime is already a good example of an alternative route based off one decision, and this would also give the opportunity to flesh out secondary characters even more (like, we had 4 Scott Pilgrim related products, yet the twins are still underdeveloped, and Lisa has been Stalin'ed out of the franchise).Speaking of Lisa, this can also be used to reinforce the themes of the comics: for example, you can have decisions you take that will make you reach a bad ending, like having Scott cheat on Ramona when he was alone with Lisa or endings based on book 6 to throw waifuchads a bone.
>>152084817Funny enough, there's a 50% chance Knives ended up there anyway.
>I WAS AFRAID TO LOO-OOK!The intro and outro for season 1 was amazing. Season 2 dropped the fucking ball so hard it fell from the lord's grace and can no longer enter the kingdom of heaven.

>>152083970I'm honestly just hoping for some more Golden Age releases like Sandman, Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Green Lantern, and Flash (and Fawcett era Marvel Family, but I'm not holding my breath)Still surprised at how well Plastic Man's doing, here's hoping we get a follow-up volume eventually
>>152087432Plastic Man was a lot of fun, which is why I'm now interested in looking into the Golden Age some more. I was kind of narrowing it down to that JSA Finest or Superman, but it'd be neat if they could come out with some more Golden Age in general. Fawcett Captain Marvel would be brilliant, if DC cared about him
