The Loud House is an underrated, entertaining, funny, modern, visually appealing and profound masterpiece with outstanding characters like Lynn Loud Sr., the best thing is Lola Loud, but the rest is equally remarkable, one of the best Nickelodeon Animation Studio achievements ever.
>>151851228Just listened to The Lost Souls by the way. This is not precisely my kind of thing but I definitely respect what I'm listening to and not just to be polite. I can tell you skate, man, this is definitely that type of music from back in the day. We're close. Let's meet in the middle, recommend me something a little more chill than this (from the 90s, man).

Basically daddy's money is making the financing look more legit to the Warner Bros shareholders vs Paramount taking out loans. Still haven't raised their share price but did raise the termination fee over Netflix's if the merger doesn't happen.https://finance.yahoo.com/news/oracles-larry-ellison-agrees-to-backstop-404-billion-in-financing-for-paramount-acquisition-of-warner-bros-145133265.html?https://www.reuters.com/business/media-telecom/larry-ellison-gives-404-billion-guarantee-paramount-bid-warner-bros-2025-12-22/

This show is honestly fucking genius. How they are able to take sitcom tropes and morals, warp them, while still keeping and teaching the same lessons has honestly blew my mind. Specially with the improv episode and how it explores and teaches living in the moment and living outside your head was one hell of a fucking journey with a good payout.

So what's the /co/nsensus on this? Caught the film. Thought it was good, but given the gaps between films I expected more. Felt a little like a DVD sequel with a big budget
>>151850822-2 grievences with the movie1, the main appeal for me with the first one was that it took worldbuilding seriously, which is something a lot of anthro worlds disregard as "its just a cartoon, don't think about it">The unity between species being birthed at a watering-hole, whith a zebra and lion tribes declaring peace?gold>The city center (city-hall, train-station, police-sation, museum) all around the same historic watering hole?Gold>Actually adressing that predators are carnevorous and omnivorous and can't actually survive on plants alone, and add non-sapient food-sources for them with Fish and Insects and now in the 2nd one even Crustaceans?GOLDwhiiich is the reason the second movie isn't that good. It's not bad, but I feel like they took too many liberties with how they could retcon things to force reptiles and snakes into the setting. There are too many mammal-specific languages in Zootopia "ladies and gentlemammals" "burning mammal festical" and the first movie uses "animal" and "mammal" as synonyms for "people"... but with the second movie retconning reptiles to be sapient too, it felt like mammals are all extreemely racist and dumb.Comment too long. >>151852291 (You)2, WildeHoppsI am a hardcore shipper, and while I appriciate a slow-burn romance, this is too slow. 9 years of waiting, was too much for the sequel only pick up 1 week after the first movie, and for it to end with another "up for interpretation" situation. Yeah, now Jared and the voice actors are all happy being coy saying "maaaybe zootopia3 can be about love" but was it really necessary to delay a confirmation, if you are teasing it like that already? The movie intentionally raises romantic tension with jelous boyfriend moments from Nick, with the symbolism with the hearts, love songs and locations and disguises, and then it DOESN'T RESOLVE that tension. Maybe a "first kiss" is really too soon, but couldn't we at least have a confirmation of some sort? Judy's parents calling Nick her boyfriend and her not correcting them or them living together without saying that they are "just roommates" or ANYTHING. Why did it have to be so damn ambiguous again? That detracts from the enjoyment of THIS movie in itself, because the resolution to it is now in the NEXT movie. That wasn't necessary. Even with a small confirmation that they are a couple, people still would've showed for Zootopia3 to see where the relationship goes, how will the famalies react, how will they adjust their work-life, do they keep it a secret from Bogo or is he allowing it? A confirmed romance would've raised even more questions that people would be excited to theorize about, instead of just being frustrated with it that we didn't get a confirmation. The movie is unrewatachable for me, because they wanted to please both the shippers and thoset that want platonic friendshipBUTComment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>151851530Is this an actual thing people are complaining about
>>151852372>you ONLY please those that want platonic friendship, they are the only ones that get what they wantNot trueI'd really like for their relationship to be platonic, just because I think it's nice when male/female duos can buck the trend and not be auto-involved into a romance plot. But when they tease it the way they do even I'm happier if they just go ahead with the ship. Dickteases are only fun when there's a payoff and they leaned fairly hard into it to not give a satisfying ending to that entire arc. The film starts with them playing a married couple. You could argue it will make the payoff stronger in the 3rd but I don't think so. >>151852291As for the reptiles, the way I interpreted it, or at least, made it make sense in my head is that it's not that no one knew about reptiles. It's that they were systemically being wiped out without raising suspicion. So the Lynx's expanded, forced reptiles to move out, but people just figured it was the reptiles moving out on their own volition and just not wanting to be a part of zootopia. Easier still when the reptiles were considered "dangerous". No one suspected the Lynx's would be responsible because they supposedly helped found the utopia. The kind of corruption that goes on in the real world, people will turn a blind eye or not look much into ethnic cleansing or think there's mutual consent when there isn't. If a group is considered dangerous it's much easier to get "rid" of them, and it's also easy to begin that narrative in the first place. My thing was why the Lynx family, as important as they were, were just absent from Z1, and how it kinda painted all Lynx's as bad which is the opposite message of the films
>>151850822The /co/nsensus is that it was great and Pawbert's toes are very lickable. My personal opinion is that it was a lot worse than the original movie. All the new characters waste the precious time that could've been spent on Nick and Judy. Gary and Nibbles are one dimensional plot devices. Pawbert is two dimensional plot device. The plot in question is nonsensical, by the way. Gary wasn't even born in Zootopia, in no way is it his home. Anyway, I've only liked the first 20 minutes because it's about Judy, Nick and their shenanigans. Fuck the rest of the movie.
