I thought this character was supposed to be the art girl? Why did they turn her into an AI enthusiast?

>>151849666Boy this show really jumped, raped, and murdered the shark, didn't it?
>>151851863At least the opening episode was good this time around. And no, I'm totally not biased due to severe tunnel vision that's fixed on one character.
It's embarrassing that he would even audition

>the part where Ghost of Christmas Present shows off Ignorance and Want and things immediately devolve into Scrooge being attacked by two disgusting bastard children while the Ghost lays cackling on the ground aging rapidly into dust and bones
Disagree, it looks like a PS2 game at points
Why is the line so good? Exactly how many heroes will they explore if the momentum continues? Could we get animated movies? Games?
>>151848304They do variants and incentive variants, but the difference is that there is an actual demand that leads them to do multiple printings, as in more than just a second printing. That usually means there's a genuine interest from readers and not just from the collectors/speculators. For instance Absolute Wonder Woman #1 went into 6 printings. New 52 Wonder Woman and Tom King's Wonder Woman only managed to get a second printing.
>>151849636>>151849617I really liked the recent new gods run, which I think is going to continue at some point.I have basically all of DC KO preordered and am really disliking it unfortunately, so that sucks, but after that ends a few of the mainline books are getting reboots so maybe there wil be some interesting stuff.

>>151848124>how does Bruce glide with this 4 wing cape setupHe doesn't does he? I thought he used the big cable wires to Spider-Man swing through the city.
>>151847847Because DC and Marvel have bogged mainline down with too much continuity and especially too many events that impede on a series. People just want to pick up issue 1 and read until 50 or 70 or 100 when it ends, no crossover bullshit, events or references to older stories that you haven't read and will get spoiled in case you ever wanted to read them in the future.
Hey everyoone.Im trying to track down cartoon episodes or moments where a female character gets her head stuck: whether its in a jar, a bucket, a hole in the wall, a prop, or anything similar. It can be a quick gag, a full comedic scene, or just a cute/slapstick moment. I love discovering these funny little situations and would really appreciate any recommendations you can share! If you know a specific series, episode number, or character who gets into this kind of predicament, please let me know. Thanks so much, cant wait to see what you all suggest!
>>151851855Post any scene if you have any
I tried so many exotic cubes that would never have been possible in the 21st century! Ham, flavored gelatin, tofu, cheese... I truly am living in a land of wonders.
Angel Food is the most divine cake, because it does not require the company of the sweet ambrosia that is icing. Never again will I put such decadence in mortal danger.

Do most people understand what makes a good character?>a good character has good and bad qualities, and the best characters are just endless flaws>flaws including having an annoying voice, being ugly and repulsing the viewer>the character MUST offend peopleseems to be the standard template for the past decade. I've even seen "Is a homophobe" as a commonly offered character flaw, and when asked "How?" the answer is their character arc is all about becoming a homophiliac, missing the point in a way that feels intentional. And that's before you hit the other problems. If a character twerks, it's seen as funny, outrageous, a "Take that, illiberals!" punch and there's no introspection of how it's unsettling for all but a niche audience, it's even listed as a good character quality.Take the Grinch, the Joker or Darth Vader. You like them. Then take any more recent remakes of them. You don't like them. But the critic will say "This is a well balanced character, and the evidence is exactly that you don't like them". What's the point? Do they hate paying audiences?
A character is cool when they do cool things. Actions speak louder than words. You can't just have a homophobe, you need a character willing to do a hate crime.
>>151851458>You can't just have a homophobe, you need a character willing to do a hate crime. What does the audience see in this character? Why would they like this character?>that's not the point, the point is the character does XThat's the problem I'm pointing out here. There are countless reasons image related is popular. It depicts morally horrific things... in a cartoonish environment where nothing is grotesque, the characters are reflective, brotherly, warm and fuzzy (to boys, manchildren and men who feel left behind in (western) life) and it doesn't actually do anything wrong. The most offensive part was a mother depicted with I think a cigarette, which was to appeal to viewer bias or otherwise affirm this is their safe space. It's not trying to offend, it's trying to cultivate customers and eyeballs for adverts.
>>151851450People don't make things for a potential audience anymore, they make things to satisfy only themselves and will throw public tantrums if what they chose to make isn't what people want. That goes double for anything they took over that was established years ago by someone else.
>>151851450It's generally culturally accepted these days that people offended at others being gay is seen as a character flaw. The why is several fold, first there's the thinking that there is anything wrong with it in the first place, which usually comes from religious traditions. So that gets you into the weeds of religions and their rules being forced on others. For the same reason secular people don't want their children's genitals mutilated, or for women to never be allowed to show their face because of the fairy tales of desert people, they also don't see the point in prosecuting someone for being homosexual. Which brings to another point, to most people now homophobia is looked down on because someone else's sexuality is no business to outsiders. If someone does feel offended by seeing two dudes kiss, that's their problem. Them thinking those two dudes shouldn't kiss because is makes them uncomfortable, just makes them seem narcissistic. The grinch I can't speak to, I only ever watched the old cartoons and don't care much. As for The Joker, even though Romero will always be my guy (also gay as fuck btw), the Ledger Joker is widely considered one of the best. Then there's the Leto one which is lame, but also certainly not a balanced character. The Phoenix one has been confimed that it's just a too edgy movie about a sad clown with a nervous tick, he is not and never was the Batman villain, The Joker. As for Vader, again I haven't paid attention to most of the ancillary stuff, but the core of Star Wars which is the 6 movies by Lucas does it fantastic.
OP why are you acting like an authority on writing good fiction, have you made something successful? Please post it if so
Post about dead webcomics in this thread. This thread is only for DEAD and ABANDONED webcomics. Situations like:>Creator died>Creator said they quit the story>creator in prison>creator disappeared or The website just died without explanationUnless its been on hold for something like 5+ years, comics on hiatus do not fit here.
it died back in 2014 and iirc the domain was taken over in 2015. it still lives in my rss feed pointing to nowhere.

>>151846883the cuckoo doesn't cuckold other birds by fucking their wives, it cuckolds (cuckqueans?) them by laying its eggs in their nest so that a non-cuckoo bird unwittingly raises a baby cuckoo.
>>151848718Natural just means it commonly occurs in nature, which it objectively does. The research we have suggests our species could be best described as serially monogamous, staying with one partner for a while and then moving on. We’re different from genuinely monogamous apes like gibbons, who really do bond for life for most part.
