I've always felt like all of the rabbits ears that we see feel way, way too big to be for a rabbit. Usually it's hares that will have the very long, large ears like Judy and her family have.There's also the constant repeating of "bunnies box their mates" but as far as I've ever been able to find that's not a rabbit thing, that's a hare thing. Black tipped ears is also very common in hares (though, of course, can also be a natural marking in rabbits).It's a bit why I give it an outside chance that they've just mashed the two together, either out of ignorance of the creators, or intentionally having an instance of two animals that can't breed in our world, but are able to in Zootopia. Of course there's a lot to say she's a rabbit. The creators saying she is for one, also her home being called bunnyburrow doesn't help, because I think there's maybe one hare that makes a burrow. If we want it totally settled we'd want to see Judy soon after being born. If she has fur, she's a hare, otherwise she's a rabbit.None of this, of course, matters in the slightest.
