Anyone watch this? Found it at a flea market for pretty cheap and it looks pretty strange.
Their was plans for a comic adaptation for Dark Horse that never went through. Along with a videogame adaptation for the Wii that nothing beyond a trailer pitch was made.It's sad. The fans and creators have more or less moved on, with this becoming an unsung relic of the 2000s internet era.
It kinda feels like a Visual Novel that plays itself.

I loved it as a teen. It being entirely designed to be the sort of thing teens would love that's not terribly surprising. Pretty sure some of it won't hold up just because it's no longer as edgy to call out american imperilism with a katana folded 9000 times.It does have a decent mystery that winds up being solved in a satisfying way so hopefully that bit is timeless. I remember they mentioned in a blog post that Robin Williams bought a copy since he was also into Evangelion style anime.

>>151808085Exactly. I've said it numerous times in the past but essentially Nightwing came about because they wanted to do solo Batman stories but Robin was too popular to get rid of. Then when they finally had to give readers Robin back Dick had become too popular with the Titans and his other adventures so they turned him into Nightwing and figured he could hold down his own title, and ever since he's been stuck in limbo because people want to put him back with Batman but also don't want to regress Dick and think Nightwing is just a cool name and costume. They need to just make him Robin and stick to it. This also has the added benefit of cutting out all the additional continuity snarl and information implications that come along from all the Robins after him. Same with keeping Barbara as Batgirl.
