Especially when he also stood up to Kronik enough for the natives to get on position. He could have been nicer to Wayda sure, whatever. But the making him feel guilty over it from a meta sense comes across more like leftist discourse over evil Whitey good Native womenz. I don't dislike the Sins of the Father approach as it's thematic with the story and family themes of the series as well as effective considering both sides here were extremely Christian. Despite that, 5.2 was too heavy handed and especially the ending segment felt overtly preachy and ruined what would have otherwise been a stellar chapter despite the woof lore detracting from the Fatigue flashback.

Even if the Europeans were very exploitative, they often contributed in positive ways as well. It's not entirely black and white, though the show very much did not bother trying to make a statement over it other than broad themes of how Kronik was an evil Brit and the natives just wanted to save their kids.
