I dislike that whole plotline of Kinger's sanity being directly tied to the brightness of his environment. It just feels so artificial, which I might be able to excuse if it's something Caine or someone else cooked up into Kinger's code, but what really grinds my gear is that, before Pomni and him going down to hell, seemingly no one had gotten with Kinger somewhere dark by pure happenstance, figured out the trigger to his sanity, then immediatly spread that knowledge around. Why the fuck doesn't Ragatha know already if she's been here the longest after him? Why didn't Pomni just tell everyone after episode 3? Instead pretty much everyone else just stares at her like she's losing her sanity when she suggests including him in the plan, not because of the very real risk that they're going to have to carry most of it somewhere bright and so Kinger might blab about it completely unintentionally, but because they all just assume he's a crazy old man with nothing more to him.
