Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per lb of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and burn fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body burning away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

Something I read a while ago said something about how fat cells release their mass and it gets peed out. I've never exercised or lifted in my entire life, I feel like a retard who has no ideas what he's doing. I bought a dumbbell kit (pic related) to lift at home, but I'm such a weakling I've been struggling to lift my 7kg sets by the end.
My routine consists of 5 sets of 25 reps left arm, then 25 reps right arm, with the 6th and final set being 50 reps of both arms at the same time.
Often during the 6th set my arms practically collapse, despite having done this over a dozen times now.
So I'm doing 175 reps per arm, is this a retarded rep count, or should I continue at 7kg until I don't feel like my arms are gonna give out, and then add weight?

I survived on 1200 - 1600 with some occasional 1800 - 2200 days for 9 months. Granted I didn't exercise very heavily in that period, but if you're a ham planet like I was, it's a reliable and relatively quick way to melt fat off.
I just started back on 1200 - 1600 again after a 6 month break, gotta lose the remaining 20 pounds, but it's very much doable. Stick with the upper end if you plan on regular exercise.

I'm terrified of gallstones or needing to get my gallbladder removed. I see so many horror stories about it and see it happening to a lot of the people on my 600lb life. It's such bullshit that losing weight can make your body just say fuck you. Damned if you do damned if you don't.

I got my gallbladder removed on Mar 7th of this year. I had lost about 67 lbs in 7 months. I also did a 7 day fast. Then I started to have bloating and pain. I thought the pain would go away. It didn't. It became excrutiating. I waited about 6 hours. At 3 am I couldn't handle it anymore. I went to the ER, got tests and they said it had to come out. Dilaudid is a hell of a drug. .5ml and my pain was gone. I asked what would happen if I went home instead of surgery. They said the pain would subside over time. But it would happen again. And most people who go home get it removed in a year. So I got it removed. Turns out my gallstones were jammed into the bile duct making it impossible for the bile to go anywhere.

The first week after, I ate a VERY low fat diet. Slowly staggered my calories up for about a week. Tested foods slowly. So far there is nothing I can't eat. I try to keep my calories from fat 30% or less of my total calories. But I've had heavier days. Not that hard. I feel much better. It was laparoscopic. I was exercising lightly in 2 weeks. I asked my Surgeon if fasting would cause further problems, he said can't irritate a gallbladder you don't have. He also said it takes months to years for the stones to form and most people do not know it's happening until they need surgery.

I just finished day 9 of a 10 day fast. Feeling great, might go further.

I actually got the bloating pain multiple times over the course of a few weeks. But thought it was something upsetting my stomach, giving me gas. The final time was about 2 weeks after my 7 day fast. My general surgeon says cholecystectomy and appendectomy are his 2 most common procedures. I was under for about 50 minutes. The report after said I had multiple stones, the biggest being 1.5cm in diameter.

For example, for me with goal weight of 155lbs(after weight loss, I'll bulk later):

at 1200kcal that leaves you with 378kcal for any carbs, extra protein, or extra fat. Which is not that much.
But at 1500kcal you get 678 which is plenty, and leaves you feeling full the whole day if you spread your meals right and get your carbs mostly from veggies, and you have plenty of energy for exercise.
I'm at 1550kcal myself right now, could see myself cutting to 1400kcal with relative ease, but I wouldn't go lower. And I did in the past, including multi day fasting.
Reasonable deficit with more exercise is just EASIER.

I know what you mean anon, I've had two plateau this month but progress has been made. Ended March with 103.3 kg, I'm just happy I'm under 101 kg as of today.
Although I don't feel like I'm putting myself under a huge deficit. On March 1st I was 107.9 kg (through to be fair I did binge it for "one last time"). If we count today in 2 months I've lost 7.4 kg or 16 lbs.
I'm here for the long run anon, a stagnated plane or small hill upward won't stop me. Although I would like to be under 100 kg before end of April I'm not gonna force it.

Seems like I have the biggest day to day drops when I’m eating rotisserie chicken. Usually I divide one chicken into 3 days worth of 3 meals.

I think maybe you can start lifting weights if you haven’t. Muscles help with fat burn and you are I think at a healthy bmi. You can recomp your way into leanness. Most of us in here are just fat trying to work down to your current level.

It’s just a suggestion. I haven’t gotten down to the part where I need to get cut so I don’t have good input. Consult I hate to say if /cbt/ or something.
