Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per pound of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and lose fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body eating away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

You don't understand, this wasn't a problem for me last month, if I wanted to binge, I would just do it, there's so much food in the pantry that I can stuff myself with right now, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Have I unlocked a new skill? Or is the early stage of an eating disorder? Either way, I eat at or below my deficit every day, I don't starve, I feel great and I'm gaining muscle. But man, I tell you, I've never felt this way before. I physically can't touch food right now. Its true, you really dont lose much muscle as you lose weight unless youre suicide cutting with next to no protein or getting really lean. You do lose some strength on your lifts though. Could be raw strength loss or just worse leverages, but I find that my pushing lifts like bench press do go down slightly, but stay the same relative to my body weight.

I started dieting few weeks ago, calculated that i need to get like 2800/2500 calories per day for 20/30% cut, i have no idea how to get that amount daily, i usually pumped it way beyind 3k and gained weight eating junk food. My daily calorie intake is basically:
500 calories for breakfast (either overnight oats with greek yogurt, fruits/berries or eggs and bacon)
800 lunch (chicken with rice)
200 snacks (dried meat, fruits)
500 dinner (fish and vegetables or chicken with vegetables)
Can i still function on around 2k calories a day?

How do you guys calculate calories when eating at a restaurant or a friend's place where the dish is a weird hodgepodge of ingredients? Has happened to me a couple of times this year and the only thing I can think to do is get the calories of the closest food that resembles it and try my best at adjusting ingredients and portions where I can.

With practice, you can get a sense for how much volume carbs and proteins take, but anything optimized for normie palates will be drenched in fat. Food that is oily/crispy/covered in sauce likely has way more calories than you'll guess. Fat density just throws everything off.

Was it the whey or the sucralose? Most protein powders have sucralose to help with sweetness but some people are sensitive and it is bad on their stomach.

Personally I'd found the hidden gun and all the parts (firing pin and varrel were hid separately) and every single moment I was alone in the house in was searching for the bullets. I gave up after a few months, and decided the next time I went out I'd say it was to the store, get cash, buy the .40 in the smallest amount at any pawn shop or gun store. No body really suspected it, every day I was ready so I had meals made in advance for my family frozen so they wouldn't have to cook while dealing with my body, I cleaned the house spotless daily when I wasn't hunting bullets. I had a moment of clarity and confessed I'd been planning for 3 solid months to commit suicide, I even knew where. I couldn't do it in the house or outdoors, that's too horrific on my family. I can't do it in the vehicle, that's very rude and would destroy it. So, I'd drive down to Walmart and wait in a stall until it was empty and the store about to close. Then, in that big concrete room, I'd shoot straight over my heart so that way i wouldnt possibly be left retarded and medical would let me die. No new hearts for mental illness patients. Nothing they can do to replace it. I'd be dead before anyone could possibly try to save me. All with no worries about harming anyone. It would be very clear what the sound was and where it came from, so only EMS who are prepared for that time of scene would enter. No problem. So i did a two week stint in a psych ward, they were very horrified by how detailed i was. I'm ok now. And I'm down 80lbs!

Well, there I go repeating the cycle again. I have let go of my fitness when I entered college because its was too stressful for me.
Every semester break, I decide that I'll start exercising again. As the semester starts, I start my new workout routine. But, as the semester drags on and things get stressful, I lose my motivation, time and energy to work out and give up again. I don't think I should try exercising until I graduate.
If it was the only issue, maybe my fitness wouldn't be too affected. But, my binge eating disorder is back too. I barely had it under control before, but in college, with my stress and exhaustion all the time, I binge almost every other day. How do I control my eating habits? There is a couple of fairly recent studies showing promise in spot reduction.
The sample size of both studies was very small, but you can try out their methodology as you aren't really losing anything by trying.

The short and long of it is that you can allegedly tell your body which fat to prioritize burning by engaging the nearby muscles via exercise.
So, if you want to get rid of belly fat and love handles, you'd do core exercises.
But core exercises suck for fat loss because they burn very few calories.
So what you would do (i.e. what was done in the studies) is do core exercise for about 15 minutes and then do cardio for a long time. Or do the cardio first but finish it with core training.
That's the idea behind it - stay at a calorie deficit, expend even more calories via exercise, and "activate" your fat for burning by training the desired area before or after the exercise part.

Save whatever lean mass you have left, start lifting now.
You're not going to have the body of your dreams when you reach your goal weight, but any lean mass you preserve or inshallah, gain by working out will bring you closer to where you want to be.
Just do it. Even if it slows down your weight loss a bit, it's an early start on the next phase. Think of it as AP credits.

mo dont take the lifting very seriously now. Focus on the weight loss, but just start slowly integrating lifting into your routine. Start a standard beginner strength program like stronglifts 5x5. Go in once this week and none next week. After that once a week. Do that for another 2 weeks. Then twice a week for 3 weeks or a month. You should be close to 180 at that point. Then consider that the "beginning" of stronglifts 5x5 3x a week which should be run for 6-8 months. Slowly integrate accesories like bicep curls during this time. Your focus during the next few months while you lose weight is just learning the lifts, getting used to exercising in public, and building the habits, not progression. Skip the creatine for now as well. The minor gains from creatine are not worth the mindfuck of the water weight on the scale during weight loss.

I didnt say to only do compounds. I specifically said to add accesories over time. You need to build a base of strength to actually do isolation exercises at hypertrophy ranges with a decent weight to elicit enough stimulus for growth. I also said to not take progression seriously yet. Just focus on building the habits as he loses 20 pounds which wont take very long. In 2 or 3 months he'll have lifting integrated into his current routine and can put his focus more on it. Why rush the process? He's making great progress, no need to radically change his life all at once. I think changes should be like grains of sand in an hour glass. Subtle progression that makes it easy to keep moving forward. Creatine is pretty minor in its positive effects. Imo not worth it right now, since the water weight gain can be tilting during weight loss. And no I wont post body. I dont need your approval nor will I let you tell me what to do. I came from being morbidly obese 4 years ago and have managed to keep it off by making gradual changes. No need to do everything optimally all at once. Whats funny is I dont even necessarily disagree. Compound lifts wont build an attractive body type, but if you arent doing isolations with enough weight and intensity you wont see results. That requires a base of strength. FWIW my routine is mostly isolation nowadays, with some compounds and weighted calisthenics. I built a base of strength beforehand with mostly compounds though.

I agree which is why I didnt want to. Here I am at my humblest that I have pictures of. This is after losing 30 pounds, so you can imagine the starting point. Point is, make the changes gradual so you can make them habits. On a long enough timeline consistency will get you what you want.
