Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per pound of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and lose fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body eating away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

That's ok then. Don't beat yourself up over it. Losing weight isn't just about looking good, but about developing or regaining habits that skinny people have. You feel fat because you're forgetting that people eat a lot on holidays but go back to eating normally every day thereafter, which is all you have to do as well. So don't sweat it anon, count your calories if you so desire (I would, just so I know how much to eat tomorrow), and keep going.

Well thats good at least. Just try to rewire yourself to view these events as the right time to let loose a bit. Enjoying a party or group dinner once or twice a month isnt what got you obese. Let those social events be milestones for you to have a nice cheat meal. It'll make you look forward to them more, enjoy them more, and keel you on track diet-wise between them. Theres always a light at the end of the tunnel to your diet and thats the next time you get to have fun with friends and family.

It's getting a little bit scary because I'm not fully insane. I'm aware that I finally understand that feeling of seeing weight loss as control. I can't seem to do anything right, but I have gotten pretty good at losing weight. I like losing weight, every time number go down i feel very happy and positive and like at least SOMETHING is going well. That's not good. That's the start of anorexia. Especially because I haven't binged in a long time. How do I shift this to healthy behaviors? My actual fitness goal is otter mode, I don't wanna get 'uge so I can't just say "number go up instead of down".

I've been eating two meals per day (just breakfast and supper).
It seems to be working since I look leaner than when I started and as a bonus I even managed to get stronger.
Thoughts on this method? For me it seems to work well because all I have to do is count meals so I don't have to think a lot or use a lot of willpower.

I jumped in head first, my first fast was 5 days 4 years ago. Once you see the results, and how much better you feel in some ways it becomes a bit addicting. It makes me feel great other than having more body fatigue and a little brain fog. Other than that, I felt happier, more in tune with my emotions (I guess this is why monks do it), more focused, lighter, more confident etc.

Like when I am not dieting and eating regularly, I will get at least x3 times hungrier then I would during a fast (once you hit ketosis). You would think after 5 days of not eating you would want to gorge on pizza or fries, but I would only crave soup, green peppers, and fish.

I lost all my weight fasting 4 years ago before covid using fasting (60 pounds) + healthy eating and lifting on weekends, and lived for almost a year keeping the weight off, but when Covid hit, I started living on my own for the first time, and became a shut in, and gained 50-60 pounds slowly over the past 3 years just sitting on the couch and drinking alcohol like 4 nights a week. That's entirely doable. Just a reminder that your diet plays a huge part in it if you want to lose weight so don't neglect that. Aim for 1.5k calories a day and you should be losing weight at roughly 1 pound a week if not a bit more depending on your metabolism.

Get an exercise bench too if you can. A bunch of common/useful dumbbell motions require a bench. flat bench is fine, but if it can incline too, you'll have more options.
To be clear, you're not going to turn 11% of your body fat into muscle in that time frame. You can however lose body fat, while lifting and doing cardio to preserve your lean mass.

You can do just the yolk, but I usually go with a whole egg.
There's no specific timing for adding it, as long as you're using hot milk (as you should) for mashing, adding the egg after you're done and thoroughly stirring it in will land you right into the rather wide range where the egg won't scramble but will still be cooked by the residual heat.

Steak is fine but if you want to lose weight you need to be in a calorie deficit with adequate protein intake. Why wouldn't you pick a protein source with less fat (fat is 9 calories a gram) therefore taking in more protein for less calories allowing for a bigger deficit ergo faster weight loss

Isn't body recomposition just a slight deficit with protein intake high and applying progressive overload? That sounds like what you are doing. Dropping fat and gaining a small amount of lean mass. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say recomp is just eating at maintenance. That would take forever to somehow convert the fat into muscle. Looking good!

Most bodybuilders don't eat steak... They get protein from lean sources like chicken, white fish, and egg whites. I do know an easy way to get a better body, eat at a deficit, lift, and get in enough protein. It's not rocket science, less fat in a meat equals less calories... Are you retarded?

Butter/cream mash is nice and rich, but the calorie price you pay for it is absolutely not worth it.
It's at most 10% "better" than the mostly milk-based mash but it's NOT within 10% of its calories.
I would only do something like roasted potatoes mashed in butter once a year at most - the richness works fine as a novelty there, but you won't meaningfully appreciate the difference if you're eating it on the regular.
And if you're using the mash as a backdrop for some sort of a meat, especially with sauce, I'd argue the lighter milk-based mash from boiled potatoes works much better there.

Yea body recomp is a slight deficit. I've actually been in a decent cut for a while. I eat between 800-1200 cal a day on average. Obviously holidays and shit I go over but that's ok. I do get a lot of protein, usually about 10% of my calories, so 120g on a 1200 day.

Last month I had a DEXA scan , 194lbs and 15.6% body fat. Today I'm 189, but I have no idea if the percentage changed.

I used to get prime ribeye steaks all the time when I was on keto. In insight, a dumb move. tasty tho.
Now instead, I occasionally get a choice grass-fed sirloin center cut steak. It's a whole lot leaner, and relatively low in saturated fat (see picrel.)
Still not good enough to have often.
