Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per pound of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and lose fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body eating away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

20g protein slushy ice
Ingredients: 1 scoop clear protein powder (used Oath Nutrition lemonade) and 16oz water
Method:
Mix protein powder in cold water. Fill gallon ziplock halfway with 2-3tbsp coarse salt and ice cubes.

Place protein mixture in a quart sized bag and seal. Put quart bag inside the gallon, seal, and shake for 5-6 minutes.

Enjoy with a spoon.

If you’re like me, you may be sensitive to FODMAPs (sugars that ferment in your gut as they break down, causing gas)

Certain fruits and veggies are very high in them. You may want to try low FODMAP for a while. I use the Fig app to scan my groceries before I buy them and make sure they’re safe for my dietary restrictions.

Low FODMAP is an elimination diet and isn’t meant to be long term, so slowly reintroduce foods after eliminating them to see what you definitely can and can’t eat.

Chicken does get sickening up to a point.

I found brining it in batches (3-4 hours min) with a 10-12% salt brine (Add in bayleaves, citrus fruits (Lime, Lemon, Orange), dill, peppercorns)

Then drain and pat dry, bake or grill until juices run clear / or prep raw and add to your meals. I found it improves the texture and flavour 10 fold and allows you to eat it without wanting to kys.

What is the good goal for a first time cut? I got loose with diet on my bulk and I gained some stomach fat. Found out I have stage 1 lipedema. Explains a lot. I’ve been fat and I’ve been underweight and overexercising, but always had an accumulation of granular, sensitive-to-touch fat and zero muscle tone in my lower half.

Pretty much the only way to reduce lipedema and swelling is to go keto. Been restricting carbs for the past week and definitely noticed less puffiness around my knees.

Pomegranate arils are very much edible. They’re like cherry flavored gushers. They burst with juice and a crunch when you bite into them. Very tasty and fun to eat.

If you mean the chia seeds, I mostly eat them for fiber. Cutting out the majority of carbs has me blocked up, so I’m making sure to get some where I can. They are edible and can be enjoyed in a variety of ways (on yogurt, soaked to make pudding, blended into a smoothie)

Hey guys, it’s officially one year since I decided to stop being a fat fuck. 12/24 I was at 411 pounds (~186 kg) and right now I’m at 287 pounds (~130kg). I still have another 100 pounds to go but I’m in a good place. I started out by limiting myself to 1500 calories a day, this was something my GP recommended in order to lose weight fast since he said my weight was life threatening, and I kept it up because I got comfortable with it. Right now I’m doing 1200 because I just don’t have much of an appetite anymore. I don’t do any diet techniques, it’s just pure CICO. I don’t even exercise, and if I did I wouldn’t count it towards my calorie count. Okay so I’ll say what worked for me and what didn’t work.

-subbing bread/tortillas for gluten free alternatives even if you aren’t a celiac, it’s half the calories.

Got an air fryer for Christmas, looking for ways to get better snack or on the go meal options. Decided to experiment on making homemade jerky.
I've never liked the super hard stuff that shreds your gums so I'm trying it with ground beef which some people say makes it softer.
Trying a few forms and yes I know the seasonings aren't the healthiest but it's only a few tablespoons for a whole pound of meat.
I just wanted to throw something together quick and see how it comes out I will refine the seasonings later if I think it's worth doing again.

Been working out for a while, recently had some setbacks and working out from home with just an ultra-heavy fitness band and bodyweight.

Tried playing card sets for pushups, just regular with aces as 15 and jokers for 20. Got 201 over 25 cards in about 45 mins. I should be keeping better track of time so I'm not resting too much but I was happy with 150 just a week and a half ago so this feels like good progress.

Finished product, 7ish hours in total. It's still very soft, softer than even the soft jerky you can buy in the store. But it is starting to get that jerky texture and mouth feel. Overall I'm pretty happy with the results. Going to try making another batch tomorrow, I would like to get one that comes out a bit tougher. Will raise the time and temp and see what happens. I can't help the unsolicited advise and apologize for it, but I honestly think you should reassess if you want to trust your exercise monitoring and have that play a role in determining your TDEE because it feels like there's a gross overestimation leading to a way too small deficit.
Try calculating your BMR, adjust for 1.1 activity factor and use that as your TDEE and don't bother tracking your burned calories for a month, see what happens.
I've been not as long as you have yet my progress has been quicker and more concise because I do what I just described. I do weights, I do cardio, I track my caloric intake and that's it. With a 700 calorie deficit it's been going pretty well for me and I wish the same for you too.

I eat a deenz in the morning, I just don't mix it with other shit. If I could eat carbs I'd eat it with plain rice or a cracker and that's it.

Although I eat a can of mackarel filets drained of oil, sardines are too fatty for my calorie goals.

I'm in europe and buy local stuff so I can't give you specifics. I do prefer the 3 sardines per can. Not sure why, but both are good. It's also better for dieting cause less surface area so less fat remaining.
I don't even buy expensive brands or anything.
