Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and lose fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body eating away muscle AND fat.

I'm on Ozempic (for diabetes) and it's pretty good. Don't really get that hungry and when I eat I have to eat smaller portions because it just fills me up super fast. Half a pizza type shit. I don't think I have any side effects (yet). Been on it for almost a year now. Dropped like 10kg by doing nothing in the start and then stalled for a few months, but since then I've started working out and taking daily walks and counting calories to keep going down.

Spot reduction is a myth, you cant target weight loss to a specific area. You can build muscle in the area but it won't delete the fat. If its loose skin then building muscle can help fill it out, if its just fat then the answer is to eat less.

Yesterday was pretty bad in the afternoon and evening I was starving and overwhelmed with thoughts of ordering pizza.

I did notice the usual pain in my knee was a little less, obviously one day of eating healthy isn't going to magically cure me but it feels good to feel a little better. You gotta think of your fat as a giant suit youre wearing that envelops your entire body. It's thinner in some places and thicker in others. As you lose weight it more or less just shrinks on a pro rata basis. You're always losing a little bit from everywhere, so you need to lose a lot for any one place to lose a meaningful amount.
But also, the less you have the more significant any nominal amount becomes. So 10 lbs when you have 70 to lose doesnt look like much. 10 lbs when you have 20 to lose is extremely significant.

Also, you may need to prepare yourself to learn that you had more than 70 to go at the start to look a certain way.

I'm 5'10 225 and i'm in the 30's as far as BMI goes. I also have high cholesterol, but am healthy otherwise as far as lab tests go. I have a lot of muscle mass, but I have fat mostly in my mid section.

What i'm getting at is am I in range to get one of the glp-1 drugs approved by insurance if I pester my doctor about it? If I get my weight off I can keep it off, because all of this extra weight I put on is from being inactive with an injury that took up nearly 2 years of my life and also initial weight gain from an anti-depressant. I'm way more active and some of it is just coming off naturally, but I really want to speed up the process. What's the best sort of drug to go on for this? No I don't have diabetes.

Don't want to loose muscle mass - looked into VLCD and stuff but after protecting myself from gall stones and getting enough protein it worked out about 1000 kcal - I eat an extra 200 kcal or white rice each day to get me through uni and stuff.

Currently eating 1100-1200kcal of rice white fish chicken breast cabbage and mayo (fat for gall bladder contraction and vitamin absorption).

I get up at 5:30 AM, I make oatmeal using a cup of rolled oats and a cup of fairlife 2% milk, some brown sugar, some cinnamon, cut up an apple and a banana, put those on the oatmeal and eat. I usually eat by 6am.

For lunch (12pm), I bring a meal that I prepped on Sundays. It's always meat + potatoes or sweet potatoes + carrots + asparagus. I switch which meat it is every week but I keep the carrots and asparagus because those are my favorite vegetables.

For dinner (5:30pm), I cook whatever meal comes to me on the walk home from the office. Sometimes, it's taking some ground beef and some high fiber tortillas to make smash burger tacos. Sometimes it's just two chicken breasts with some rice and whatever veggie I grab.

On nights where I can feel my sweet tooth being a problem, I grab one of the ice creams I prepped (made from milk, protein powder and sugar free pudding mix) and have one scoop (my recipes are usually no more than 150cals for 1 scoop while being 12-15g of protein).

I have made a hard rule for myself that no matter what, I cannot have snacks once it's 7pm.

I see people on here at my height talking about not being content at 70kg, and that's 40kg away still. I'm 6' for the record. I've started doing some training in the hope of actually having more muscle for when I lose the weight, but then I hear pretty regularly that it's impossible to gain muscle and lose weight at the same time.

Today I had social plans that involved going out to a restaurant. In the past, even when really consistent these days usually end up with me taking the whole day off.
Instead today I just ate nothing until around 4 pm, and got a burger and fries. Figured I'd count it around 1600 calories (had a lot of fries) and then ate nothing else until now, just a cup of greek yogurt to mix my creatine in plus a scoop of whey.

This ultimately has me still in the ballpark of my 1800 goal depending on what the meal ended up being and I got to enjoy a nice restaurant burger and french fries. Macros are a bit fucked, definitely didnt hit 180g protein but not bad.

I've been caring more about not being fat anymore rather than overall strength progress. I can grow more muscle when I dont have a huge amount of weight to lose.
