also language is weird

I don't play games but they seem fucking cheap for what you get.
What's the catch?

At work we pay a few dollars an hour for big on demand gpu's.
If the alternative is buying a new GPU in the next few years would say it's a reasonable choice
>>
>>107841732
Cloud gaming is not living up to its potential. Nvidia recently added a 100 hour limit. ShadowTech takes too long to launch. Every service takes too long to launch the games. Stadia was pretty fast to launch. Additionally, there is no cloud only game as a service unless you count the io web game genre. Seems like a no-brainer idea for something thats clearly going to "take over". If it takes you longer than 30 seconds to get to the main menu and longer than a minute to start playing, the game is probably bad. You don't have to believe me, just get a timer out and try it with the games you play. All the games that issues take longer than 30 seconds to reach the main menu.

This simple idea of having 2 USB-C ports CANNOT be done because it stops the zoomer from buying wireless ear buds(battery inside will always go to shit and unusable in ~3 years)

and you would be stuck using extremely affordable, high quality audio headphones or in ear buds(that are a bit too green for the planet in 2026)

also the 3.5mm headphone jack looks like a penis that goes inside a hole and basically why aren't you a wireless, constantly charging gay trans in 2026 right now.

am i finally getting it /g?

Because they realized that their customers are so fucking braindead that swapping expensive computer CPUs with cheaper cellphone CPUs was going to go unnoticed. It worked and confirmed that people really are that fucking stupid. They found the next iPhone cash cow and are beating the shit out of it.
>>
>>107843577
>with cheaper cellphone CPUs

ARM CPUs are actually pretty solid, but they really should have maintained x86 support on the software front. You never know what kind of cpus AMD or INTEL might come up with in the future.
Also you should just kill yourself for phone posting while seething about ARM.
>>
>>107843604
At first they really weren't and there's nothing wrong with cheaper cellphone CPUs in phones, I'm not expecting my $100 phone to be able to play GTA V or do anything productive.

My actual gripe is that when apple swapped the powerful x86 CPUs of that time (that could be paired with a dedicated external GPU btw) with cheaper cellphone CPUs, Apple computers remained exorbitantly expensive as always. So what actually ended up happening was abble pocketed the difference, got hella rich, and the nornalfaggots got scammed.

Feels like LLMfags are on the defensive these days, sure you have some "YOU WILL BE REPLACED LUDDITE" rhetoric from some of them but now there is also a lot of guilt tripping and whining that comes from them as well. I am not so sure why these people are so pushy on people adopting LLMs, it didn't take long for cell phones to get adopted in comparison.

The religiously devoted AI jeets are people who aren't capable of doing some task and think that using ChatGPT is a 1 to 1 substitute for having skill/knowledge/experience at that task.
They're so defensive about it because they despise anyone who spent time to acquire a skill that they think ChatGPT grants them.
Generally that task is making drawn porn or toy programs.

There is something deeply unsettling going on in my office. For almost all tech related roles and even product, the new hires have been mostly Indian. To some degree this was always the case, but it has gone over-drive now.

A large part of this has to do with the fact that we have been acquired by private-equity and are now probably getting directives to cut cost as much as possible and have to resort to jeet slaver labour. But wow, its almost like an overnight replacement

There's actually lots of obscure and old stuff on YouTube and other video sites like vk that's not on PTP, there is a guy collecting links somewhere on the forum. You can download those videos with yt-dlp and then upload to PTP after remuxing to mkv. They will be allowed, because no better source exists.

>>
>>107825321
No.
A big issue with comparisons is that everyone keeps comparing the top-end CRTs of that time with whatever junk people use today. Almost no one had the "good" CRTs. They were expensive as fuck.
First gen LCDs were garbage though.
There's compromises with all display technology, so it's not a clear-cut winner-takes-all thing, but overall, modern good displays absolutely destroy even the best of CRTs.
