These are CPUs that run as fast as an analog circuit for the most part. They don't clock and step with other CPUs except for specialized purposes like IO. They are of course a million times faster and use a fraction of the electricity.

i have yet to play around with the actual chip
the whole things seems to be at the same stage cpus were in the 70s
their catalog/packaging makes me think of the apple 1

if you do compute in analog then sure, but otherwise youre fooling yourself

anything based on transistors or binary has to be and thats all there is to it, even if all youre doing is timing matching instructions to memory operations, those both have their own maximum speeds

you ever notice how amd and intel processors have minimum and maximum clock speeds? that's because they do instruction dependent execution as is already. all current CPUs are clockless in the same way as you're describing; their master clock is higher and in sync with any delays from lower level logic eg, alus, registers, memory, ect.

anything using binary might as well be made out of marbles or plinko tokens

Got this chinky step counter, because I want to try and walk 10k steps a day, and it seems to work mostly fine, but it overmeasures my steps. For every 100 steps I take it counts 120. Not sure why this is happening and if there's a way to reprogram it somehow. It's probably designed for short asian legs and not for tall chads.

Just add something like:
modprobe.blacklist=nouveau rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau
to your grub config and re-generate it.

You need both to blacklist it properly at least this was the case when I used Nvidia years ago.

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/63103652/differences-between-modprobe-blacklist-and-rd-driver-blacklist-in-linux-kernel-p
>>
>>107566388
I already blacklisted it in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf. isn't that sufficient? Suppose not...
>>
>>107566403
If it gets loaded in the initramfs rather than after boot then no, that's not sufficient.

>>gee, I wonder who might be pushing the agenda that people shouldn't have more kids cause it's bad for the planet or some other retard talking point.
Literally, no one ever. People don't have kids because they can't afford them while keeping the same standards of living once an economy begins to stagnate. The phenomenon started before the whole planet crisis was even a thing, in Italy fertility rates collapsed sharply and suddenly in the early 1980s, and it interests places, like China, that are frankly the opposite of what you're likely referring to. Only the likes of Musk and Ursula Von Der Layen can afford to have a lot of kids. Guess why.
>gee, I wonder who fucked the economy so badly that households couldn't be supported by a single provider.
>guess our only solution is to import 500 million somali refugees
Jews and... guess who? Jews. It's not even a solution and everyone know it, it's just yet another strategy to keep cost of labour low. But it's hardly the only one. Looking at the tree instead of the forest?

>hurr durr, the women are taking away my job and dignity, mama!!!"
I don't see any issue with the concept that women should/could work, they always did that to an extent or another (art-related, Artemisia Gentileschi anyone?). You'd fit well in Somalia with a mentality like that, anyway. Consider reverse-immigration.

And nah, I love to rustle the jimmies of edgy fascist boys. It's one thing that makes me feel alive.

Unfortunately the beginning of having to change defaults post-install to make Windows usable.

Still, with Start8/Classic Shell it may have been the fastest windows version released to date.

So much was done after Windows 7 to improve the driver model and speed the OS up even on HDD. All this was lost again in Windows 10

What are your specs?
Btw, you can install any AppStore, but I'd stick with sudo apt install xxx for your system packages, just enable Flatpak and get Bazaar (it's a bit controversial, but it's open source and extremely fast) for your Flatpaks only.

Here's the truth, Linux is absolute dogshit. But it gives you the tools to cope unlike the other options. Use those tools, install something like Arch and just learn the nuts and bolts of your system from the very beginning. You'll find all you really need is DWM and some terminals, and that it's the only viable way to use Linux on the desktop.

Discover works with Flatpaks. I'm not sure why you would want multiple app stores.

I don't get why people like thin laptops. Less material = more fragility.
Not to mention less surface area means more thermal issues, less ports, and deniable upgrade.
