Holy fucking based. The posting feature is flawless, the thread watcher too, the performance is great, the catalog shits itself up and doesn't load images sometimes but I don't give a fuck, I use the text only mode 99% of the time... Kino.

I thought one of the biggest touted benefits of going digital was that companies wouldn't have to manage retail and brick and mortar stores and manufacturing, so the savings would be passed down to us the consumer?

>>
>>107726132
Don't even humour the "explanation" for the fee with a second thought like this. It has absolutely fucking nothing to do with the costs of digital delivery.
It's 100% an attempt to engage in deceptive advertising, and publicize one price while charging the vast majority of their customers a higher one.
Oh, and notice how OP's picture has a "discount"? If you walked into a physical location to buy it, I guarantee that the clerk won't know what the hell kind of "discount" you are talking about. Maybe if you drag the manager over, show the advertisement, demand the advertised price, and threaten to complain to your consumer protection agency when refused, you will, eventually, get your advertised price.
Right now, it's just $6, but if they could advertise "tickets are $100 + fees" and charge $300 on the final bill, then they 100% would. But there is still that risk someone will walk into the physical location with a copy of the advertisement and end up getting a $200 discount.

This still is jarring even in $1000+ models so if you notice these things it can be unberable.
I have the same requirements as you and the same criteria even and there is no good solution I found, better go for a decent IPS and forgo some features since they want to charge the same as an OLED for things like working non-shit local dimming. I found the
MSI MPG 274URDFW E16M and
Alienware AW2725QF to be a good candidates but still flawed in at least one aspect and relatively expensive ($400 USD on sale).

Women modelling latex are not really there to explore the finer aspects of cyberpunk fashion, sadly. And few seem to think of their own part in dystopia: when their looks is what brings in he money, the career will have to be short. I am not sure what is in the water in the US but female models and actresses age horrifically, at which point their career is over.

A female biohacker integrating body mods with a latex catsuit would be something, but unti then we can only dream.

Dumbest analogy.

A better one would be finding a way to clone horses en masse, albeit those horses would be made of cheap plastic goo, but would look like real life horses, you could clone 100s of them in a second and go faster than 1, but they would start turning into goo half way through the race and some horses would start flying at the speed of light in random direction.

Sure you were faster half way, but in the end all your AI horses turned into goo and flew away, some of them even hallucinated so much they turned into cars, but then exploded.

If I setup a youtube type site surely it couldnt be financially viable unless the uploaders have to pay for each video they upload + monthly fee

like "10gb vid hosting = 10€ for initial upload, then 1€ monthly fee for maintaining it"

Then users who want to dl videos have to pay like 15€ sub a month or do it per video for a small fee.

Right now, I spend time on some weekends working on a personal project for organizing photos. The photo organizer is keyboard-driven and helps you group similar photos together using graph algorithms and custom perceptual hashes based on neural networks. It's early stage and only a couple thousand lines so far; the GUI framework is Qt and the programming languages are Python and C.
A standard way to get familiar with a new web framework is to write your own blog or forum software. You can add your own twist here too, for example add moderation tools that you think are missing from mainstream forums.
I learned the most about testing in my first programming job. I got thrown in at the deep end; there was a complex internal webapp for managing a certain kind of IoT devices and a server that sent commands to these devices in real time. Reliability was low and code quality was bad. I was hired to help make the system more reliable. I learned a lot while untangling the legacy code, adding type annotations, improving deployment procedures, and writing many thousands of lines of unit and integration tests.

>I am struggling to think of something to work on that hasn't been done a thousand times already, or is not really something that has practical use for others as packaged software (eg graphics and physics problems).
My advice: Find a project. Read it. Try it out, take it for a test run, and write up some documentation improvements based on your experiences. That could be contributed to their docs, or become a separate work (like a tutorial or something). If it's separate, it can be written or a video or podcast or whatever you feel comfy doing.
Since most projects have terrible docs, that's a good contribution, and learning enough to do it well is a damn good intro to working with the project and its maintainers while not stepping on their toes too much.
